NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game Chapter 11

There was no other info related to it, but it was enough to tell the level of the dungeon.

"Have you tried it before?" Bloom asked, as they didn't know about the collecting skill, so they wouldn't be able to find the investigation skill. the only way to know the level of the monsters then would be through fighting, and killing one of them.

"We killed a bunch of these creepies," Brendy said, "they aren't that hard to kill, but they are quite aggressive, not like the other normal monsters here," he added.

'Sure they are aggressive,' Bloom muttered to himself, as the dungeon monsters were known to be actively seeking any intruders. Comparing the normal monsters in the leveling maps would be like comparing a cat with a tiger.

"You should be careful then, dealing with them would be quite challenging," Gored said, speaking to everyone around him, not only Bloom. From the look of things, they seemed to lose badly to those zondilies, or might even be wiped out!

Being killed inside a dungeon would only make the player lose twenty percent of his current level Xp. So it wasn't that easy to lose a level here, not like dying on the hands of a player.

"Now I will assign roles, I will move to the front with the two shield bearers, while weapon wielders will follow us behind. Once we stabilize the aggro, other factions can join in."

Gored said the basic, and well known strategy for the VR games, however Bloom knew this tactic was doomed to fail. Unwillingly, he decided to give them another info, related to a secret of the game, as this was also related to his own safety and progress.

"Can I edit that?" he opened up, asking for permission first, so not to be branded as being rude or arrogant like the other beta.

"Do you have another way to play?" Brendy asked with his sarcastic nature.

"Sure, this way will make you all be killed," Bloom stepped in, "dungeon monsters here don't follow the old same rules of all games from before," he added, while pointing to the monsters roaming in front of the dungeon, "Since when there are monsters getting out of dungeon, acting like they were protecting it?" he said, trying to add some sense into his claims.

He knew if anyone asked for a proof, then the only thing he would use would be being beta. This might solve his problems for now, but later on they would discover his lie, and this might backlash at him.

"And you know this, because you are beta, right?" Peri asked, as she was looking in an emotionless way towards him, making him puzzled, was she pleased or irritated by his words?

"I really can't say," he shook his head, replying honestly to her words, "but I can assure you this, going in to face these monsters like this is a suicide."

Gored decided to hear more from him, as he said, putting an end to his own team's interrogation:

"What is the best approach in your opinion then?"

Others glances, weirdly, at him, while Bloom said:

"These monsters don't follow the simple old rules of Aggro. They wouldn't stick their Aggro to anyone, but to their Hp meter. Every twenty percent Hp loss, they would move randomly, hitting one player without any rules.

It might be the main DPS, or one of the healers, it doesn't matter. That sudden attack would be enough to kill our staff holder and light daughter factions among us first, rendering us helpless against them," he looked towards the rest of them before adding, "last time you fought them, and the first to fall were the staff holder and light daughters, right?"

They glanced at each other, while saying nothing. Bloom knew this wouldn't be enough to convince them, and he didn't want to waste any more time without leveling up, so he said at once:

"I'm sorry, but if we don't change the tactic, I would have to leave and level up alone."

His words showed to them he really believed in what he said.

"What if you were proven to be wrong?" Brendy asked.

"We will die, and that wouldn't be surprising as we have to be ready to die more than once if we are going to make dungeon runs, right?" Bloom said.

"Then let's try the old method," Brendy said.

"You did once and you died once," Bloom said, "why don't try the new method then?" he added.

"Enough both of you," Gored stepped in, again, as he knew how sharp Brendy's tongue could be, "we will try Bloom's method once," he added, while gesturing at Bloom to continue explaining his method, while silently glancing at Brendy to silence him.

"To counter this, we have to distribute ourselves in one of these formations," he said as he picked up his sword and started drawing on the grass, "either we form a circle made of shield bearers, shade sons and weapon holders, and inside would be other factions, or we attack freely, but there must be at least one shield bearer and one weapon holder behind to defend against any sudden attack."

If it was up to him, he would go for the second way, as it would be more active than the first, but this would require many conditions, and truly he doubted this team would have these conditions fulfilled.

"I think the second approach is the best, but it will put a great toll over the two players waiting behind," Gored said, as he started to consider Bloom's words, which seemed not just meaningless words.

"I can support the rear," one of the shield bearers, a shield paladin class, said.

"No, this task would require much agility, good reflexes, and thick blood," Gored, to Bloom's amazement, had already deciphered some of the conditions needed for the second tactic, "I'm the only one here who can do it," he added, volunteering himself to do the job.

"What about our weapon wielder?" Brendy said, as he looked at Bloom with smirking eyes.

"Fine," Bloom shrugged his shoulders, "I will be your swordsman," he added.

"Sure?" Gored asked with doubt, as he asked for him to join the team, and he was now helping them adjusting their strategy, so he wasn't in any kind of debt towards them to take on such a heavy task.

For Bloom, he knew all that, but he found this would be a great opportunity to make his relations with players here tighter. Plus, in the dungeon, all players would receive an equal share of Xp, as long as it wasn't a ranked dungeon.

So, fighting in the front, or staying in the back, all would gain the same result at the end.

"Yes, let's get started, the dungeon run would take two to three hours at least," Bloom said, as if he had already run the dungeon a couple of times before and was quite familiar with it.

"Let's start," Gored just shook his head, as he ordered the team to start moving.
