The blonde quickly kissed him first before Luna did and the two left the room after saying their goodbyes. Once they were gone, Leo started relaxing as he started drinking some ale before walking into the bathroom to get ready for his trip with the general.
An hour later, he stepped out while putting on some fresh clothes that he got from a few uncommon spins. Leo was pleased as he made his way to the palace entrance and, while doing that, he bumped into the maid, Nadia.
The white-haired woman narrowed her eyes as they passed each other, but Leo commented in a quiet voice, ’’One day you’ll be mine, Nadia.’’
He watched as she trembled before speeding up, which made him laugh as he stepped outside and noticed a carriage surrounded by one hundred Imperial Guard alongside another group of soldiers.
That’s when he spotted Amara approaching with a warm smile as she spoke, ’’Morning Hero, I’m glad you could join us.’’
’’It’s my pleasure general, I look forward to killing some monsters and leveling up,’’ Leo replied while the soldiers prepared to leave as Princess Octavia entered a carriage.

Following that, the carriage started moving as he questioned the older woman, ’’Whose your husband? I don’t believe you’ve mentioned him.’’

Leo waved her away. ’’It doesn’t matter Amara, I prefer taken woman. There’s something taboo about making love to another man’s wife.’’

The older woman started giggling when hearing this, she calmed down before speaking, ’’So you’re a handsome playboy who loves stealing married women and corrupts them to become yours?’’
’’Wow, that’s pretty accurate if I’m honest,’’ Leo chuckled. ’’I care for my girls, but it’s all new to me. My family life was chaotic back in my world.’’
Amara beamed as the carriage traveled down the main street of the capital. Leo noticed people were going about their business as the city was coming alive. While admiring the scenery, he noticed hundreds of Duskwood soldiers marching around.
’Are the attacks that bad?’ he mused.
’’The Demons threaten our home. Father thought it would be best to deploy every soldier we had available,’’ the older woman explained.
Leo waved her off with a casual smile. ’’If we come across any, I’ll take them down to level up. They seem to boost my strength. Mind if I look at your status?’’
When the older woman heard this, she nodded before showing him.

The older woman chuckled softly and replied, ’’Thank you, Leo, but stay alert. Monsters will start showing up soon.’’

Leo nodded before turning to the window as they left the capital and appeared in expansive grasslands that stretched in all directions. He spotted a few farms in the distance, causing him to think, ’Hopefully I can level up even more. I don’t need any spells or skills for now.’
Following that, the carriages traveled for a few hours until coming across the first horde of monsters they had to deal with. Leo stepped out and noticed the creatures looked like fiercer rhinos.
They were the size of a compact car with a stone-like hide that gave the monsters extra defenses. Their auras exuded power that made Leo acutely aware of their strength. As he watched them, Amara explained, ’’These creatures are Titanhorns. They wander down from the mountains and wreak havoc on the local farms.’’
Leo nodded before replying, ’’Stay here with the carriages, I’ll go deal with the monsters.’’
The purple-haired woman agreed while ordering the soldiers to secure the road while he approached the horde of Titanhorns, who quickly noticed him. They quickly turned in his direction before one of them let out a bellow.
’Let’s see if I can tame these beasts,’ he pondered as one of them started charging in his direction.
