Ivy Kensington gave a bitter smile.
The place she was living before was demolished by Sebastian Blackwood, so going out to find another place was impractical. She could only temporarily stay at Tiffany Leighton’s for the night.
After learning the reasons, Tiffany said, "Okay, okay, I’ll come to get you right away."
Soon, Ivy followed Tiffany back home.
Tiffany’s house had two bedrooms and a living room, which conveniently meant there was a room available tonight for Ivy.

Sebastian had just finished a three-day financial summit and immediately bought a ticket back to Veridia.
Before boarding, he asked Owen Rhodes, "How has my wife been lately?"

Ivy was sleeping soundly when suddenly there was a loud knocking on the door.
Her room was close to the door, and Tiffany was known to sleep deeply, so she went over to the door.
Looking through the peephole, it was Sebastian Blackwood?
Ivy got quite a shock. Why had he come back? And found her here...
Ivy bit her lip, reluctant to open the door, pretending not to hear as she made her way back.
The man’s commanding voice came, "Ivy, I know you’re on the other side. I’ll give you thirty more seconds."
Gritting her teeth, she pulled open the door.
Sebastian frowned as he looked her over. Seeing she was fine, he coldly spat out two words.
Ivy wasn’t willing to go back, fearing he would give her something like an abortion pill again, leaving her defenseless.
Sebastian raised his eyebrow, "Ivy, I’ve been patient enough with you."
The implication was not to push him to anger.
Ivy was stubborn, and with the child in her belly not yet securely protected, she couldn’t possibly go back.
"Mr. Blackwood, you are now trespassing. I can call the police and have you arrested."
At this, Sebastian let out a light scoff, "Go ahead. I’d like to see who dares arrest me."
This man was simply lawless!
Tiffany woke at this time, and upon seeing Sebastian, she was startled awake, half her sleepiness gone.
"Mas... Master Blackwood?"
Help, seeing the real Master Blackwood in the middle of the night—so tense, so excited.
Tiffany nearly screamed, but quickly remembered her mission to protect Ivy and bravely said, "Master Blackwood, let Ivy go. That home can’t go back to!"
Sebastian frowned in displeasure.
The Blackwood Manor wasn’t a dragon’s lair; he just wanted to take his wife home. Was that so terrifying?
With a handsome face turning downcast, Sebastian wasted no words, directly lifting Ivy up.
"Ah, what are you doing!"
Ivy was startled, struggling with all her limbs, wanting to get down.
Sebastian’s warm hand slapped her bottom with a warning tone, "Don’t force me to use tougher measures."
Though she didn’t know what those tougher measures were, they certainly weren’t good.
Ivy gave in and went back home with him.
Mrs. Langley hadn’t slept either, and seeing Ivy return safe and sound, she breathed a sigh of relief but felt a faint worry.
Madam couldn’t have run away because she knew there was saffron in the chicken soup...
