One Piece: Burning the Sun God to Ash Chapter 60

A massive explosion erupted.

Blistering shockwaves rippled outward in layers.

At the center of the blast—

Sakazuki, his entire body clad in Armament Haki, had his left hand gripped around Gairam's skull.

Under his palm, Gairam's eyes rolled back into his head—his will completely shattered.

Sakazuki's five fingers tightened.

The sound of a skull shattering echoed.

Through his Observation Haki, Sakazuki sensed Gairam's life force rapidly extinguish.

Then, gripping Gairam's lifeless head, he flung it toward a predicted location.

The corpse flew through the air, crashing directly in front of Byrnndi World.

World, who was entangled in battle with Sengoku while moving fifty times faster than normal was suddenly struck by Gairam's corpse.

His expression froze in shock.

Sengoku seized the opportunity. A glow of white light blossomed in his palm.

A massive, semi-transparent shockwave descended, enveloping World.

The roar of compressed air thundered, and then—golden light exploded across the night sky like daylight.

From the center of the impact, the ground rippled outward violently.

A crater over a hundred meters wide formed, with World bleeding from all seven orifices.

Though his entire body was cloaked in Armament Haki, multiple areas had fractured. Standing at the bottom of the crater, his face twisted with rage.

"You actually dare!!!"

"Hundredfold speed!!!"

The compacted ground at the bottom of the crater erupted again.

Before Sengoku could react, World vanished in a flash and appeared right in front of Sakazuki, slamming a fist into his chest.

Though Sakazuki had sensed World's presence, there was no time to dodge.

The punch caved in his chest, sending him flying back hundreds of meters into a dilapidated building, which instantly collapsed around him.

He tried to adjust his position, but was struck again by the rampaging World.

Pretending to be too slow to defend, Sakazuki allowed himself to be launched in a specific direction.

The two gradually moved away from the town center.

Sengoku, watching Sakazuki being flung away, remained calm.

Byrnndi World's ability was tricky, making him difficult to capture—but aside from that, he was simply a strong pirate with decent Armament Haki.

The towering golden Buddha turned his gaze toward the three retreating members of World's pirate crew, raising a shockwave energy bullet in his hand.

The air cracked as the wave tore through the sky, blasting toward the trio.

Hearing the noise behind them, the largest of the three—a Fishman giant named Sebastian—turned his head. His pupils contracted sharply.

Seeing the oncoming shockwave, fear flickered in his eyes—but he forced it down, planting his feet and bracing himself.

With a roar, as if psyching himself up:

His right fist, drawn back at his waist, rocketed forward and smashed into the shockwave.

Bones shattered. The bones in Sebastian's right arm snapped to pieces under the massive force.

His now-useless arm dangled limp, and the enormous shockwave slammed him into the two crewmates behind.

A towering mushroom cloud erupted, and the violent gusts blew away all lingering smoke.

Among the three, World's elder brother Byojack was killed instantly.

Sebastian was knocked unconscious.

Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!...

Heavy footsteps echoed as the golden giant form of Sengoku strode forward.

The crew's doctor, Nightin, struggled toward the fallen Sebastian.

From her coat, she pulled out a green syringe and jabbed it into his body.

Sebastian's form trembled violently. Seconds later, he suddenly swelled in size and opened his eyes.

But they were blood-red, void of any reason or awareness.

As the frenzied Fishman giant charged forward, Sengoku watched him with a blank expression.

A shockwave formed in his hand. His palm, as mighty as a mountain, descended.

With Sebastian's anguished howls, blinding golden light exploded once more.

When the shockwave dissipated, a massive blue arm fell from the sky and landed on the ground.

Nightin, looking up at the approaching golden Buddha, scrambled backward in terror. But the distance between them only shrank.

As Sengoku neared, she panicked, turning desperate.

From her pocket, she pulled out a packet of powder. Her eyes were crazed.

Before she could finish, Sengoku's massive golden hand slammed down.

The ground shook violently.

Now, no one remained alive in that place—only Sengoku.

Elsewhere, under Sakazuki's deliberate guidance, he and World finally neared the edge of the town.

Sakazuki was smashed into a fruit stand. Bloodstains inside revealed the chaos that had unfolded there earlier.

When he had previously tunneled underground to channel magma, Sakazuki had already memorized the layout of this town.

Fruits were scattered all over the floor. And beneath it, a warehouse stuffed with fresh produce.

Sakazuki activated Observation Haki at full force, predicting World's next punch.

His hand missed by a fraction—but he wasn't knocked away. His feet clung firmly to the ground.

He reached again—barely missed.

After taking several punches in succession, his extreme foresight finally paid off.

Just as World moved, Sakazuki lashed out toward the empty air.

He caught World's wrist.

World flinched and tried to yank free—but it wouldn't budge.

A fierce glint flashed in Sakazuki's eyes as he pulled hard with his left hand.

His right hand, coated in dense Armament Haki, drew back into a punch.

With the force of the pull, World's body collided with the incoming fist.

The punch slammed into World's chest. The sound of bones breaking was clear in both men's ears.

Sakazuki's fist embedded deep in World's chest.

The searing pain jolted World's mind into blankness.

Sakazuki followed up with a vicious kick to World's knee.

World's instincts screamed in alarm, snapping him out of the daze.

Eyes flashing with madness, he lifted his left leg—coated in Haki—and rammed his knee toward Sakazuki's foot.

World's left knee snapped, bending forward at a 90-degree angle.

He howled like a demon:

Sakazuki's foot stomped down again—

Targeting World's lower leg and ankle.

The sound of shattering bones rang nonstop.

Sakazuki's right foot crushed World's ankle.

The agony drove World into total madness. His face twisted like a devil's.

He roared and swung his fist at Sakazuki's head.

Sakazuki leaned aside just in time, and countered with another brutal kick.

World's right knee broke too, collapsing him further.

With his left hand, Sakazuki lifted World.

Then, like a whip, his leg swept across—knocking World's body flat in the air.

He grabbed World's wrist with his left hand and yanked hard to the left.

His right hand latched onto World's shattered knee.

Then—his own knee drove upward.

And both hands slammed down.
