Chapter 420: The Strongest Wind Element Zanpakutō

"Come along, little Pivitt! I have a private battlefield at the Second Division. Let’s head there, and I’ll show you something impressive," Kai said, rubbing Pivitt’s spiky hair with a warm smile.

At the sight of Kai’s cheerful expression, some Shinigami silently sympathized with Pivitt in their hearts.

"Teacher, I’m not a child anymore," Pivitt protested, swatting Kai’s hand away with an indignant huff. "I’m the acting captain now, higher in rank than you!"

Kai couldn’t help but chuckle at the boy’s proud demeanor. New spiritual beings born through the inheritance model, like Pivitt, often possessed exceptional talent or potential, forming a unique class.

When Kai had free time, he would occasionally spend it with these young prodigies, more so than with other classes at the Spiritual Arts Academy.

Over time, these young Shinigami grew familiar with him.

But familiarity didn’t mean they were safe from his teasing.

"Is that so? You’re quite impressive then," Kai replied in a deliberately patronizing tone.

Pivitt bristled, sensing he was being underestimated. Still, his determination held firm. He had always wanted to best his teacher. His peers constantly called out for their "teacher," wondering why Kai hadn’t shown up yet.

The male students were one thing, but the female students were even more fervent. Simifu, in particular, had founded a fan club for Kai early on. Some even delayed their early graduation just to spend more time with him in class.

If this continued, Pivitt thought, they would neglect their duties entirely.

For their sake, he felt compelled to restore order.

This sense of mission fueled his resolve, igniting a fire in his heart.

"Teacher, let’s do this right here. I can’t wait any longer," Pivitt declared, his voice brimming with determination.

"Are you sure?" Kai asked, a suggestive glint in his eyes. "There are still plenty of people around. It might be embarrassing."

Pivitt shook off a flicker of unease. He had a trump card and was confident in his abilities. Besides, while Kai loved to tease, he wouldn’t humiliate him too badly.

Or so he thought. He wouldn’t lose.

Yet, a trace of apprehension lingered, perhaps because Kai had watched over him since his creation.

"Right here!" Pivitt insisted, masking his hesitation with bravado. "Since you’re not worried about embarrassing me, I’m ready."

Seeing Pivitt’s mix of guilt and stubbornness, Kai nodded obligingly.

The commotion drew the attention of nearby Shinigami, their eyes lighting up with interest.

"Pivitt, what do you think you’re doing?" Simifu, who hadn’t yet left, stormed over, her tone sharp. "Challenging my brother? That’s practically treason!"

She glared at him, continuing, "Don’t forget, you’re part of Onii-sama’s support club—and the vice president, no less!"

After scolding Pivitt, she turned to Kai. "Brother, give me a moment to deal with him."

Simifu was incensed. Her carefully organized support club for her brother had a traitor in its ranks. If this behavior spread, what would become of her role as president?

As she approached, Pivitt shrank back slightly but stood his ground. Her mention of "Onii-sama’s support club" sparked his frustration, especially as he noticed the odd glances from those around him. The name was mortifying, a creation only Simifu could devise.

"I joined when I was young and naive," Pivitt retorted, his face flushing. "I’ll quit eventually!"

"So you think you’re grown now?" Simifu shot back, raising her small, pink fist in a way that was both cute and menacing. "You haven’t grown at all! Quit? Ask my fist if it agrees."

To Pivitt, Simifu, with her black wings, was like a little devil—strong and prone to physical reprimands. He was wary of her.

"Alright, little Simifu," Kai interjected, gently patting her head and brushing her soft black wings, which made her cheeks flush slightly. "It’s good that Pivitt has ambition. It shows he’s taking charge. You should support him."

Unaware of Simifu’s reaction, Pivitt seized on Kai’s words, grinning triumphantly. "See? Even he agrees!"

Simifu’s expression returned to normal, and she rolled her eyes. "Idiot Pivitt, you’ll regret this."

Since her brother approved, she stepped back. But if Pivitt thought Kai was an easy target, he was in for a rude awakening.

"Then it’s settled," Kai said, turning to Aizen. "Captain Aizen, may we borrow this battlefield?"

Aizen adjusted his glasses with a gentle smile. "Please, go ahead."

Soon, Kai and Pivitt faced each other on the battlefield, with dozens of Shinigami, including Captain Soralin, Captain Chiyori of the Second Division, and Captain Aigre of the Fourth Division, watching eagerly.

"Teacher, if I win, you’ll visit the special classes less often!" Pivitt declared.

Before Kai could respond, Simifu, standing nearby, fumed. Was he really targeting her brother’s time with them?

She restrained herself from charging forward, planning to betrayal with the support club later. Pivitt would face the consequences.

"Very well," Kai replied with a smile. "But if you lose, don’t hold it against me."

Pivitt felt a twinge of foreboding at Kai’s words but steeled himself. He could do this.

"No problem. I’ll start, teacher," he said.

"Very well," Kai replied.

"Wreak havoc, Disaster Wind!" Pivitt called, releasing his Shikai.

A fierce wind swept through the arena, swirling around his blade. Tornado-like gusts spiraled around him, marking his Zanpakutō, Disaster Wind—known in Soul Society as the strongest wind-type Zanpakutō.

"It seems little Pivitt came prepared," Kai remarked, drawing his sword from his waist.

He knew Pivitt had recently mastered Bankai, which explained his boldness. But in today’s dangerous world, such strength was insufficient.

Kai decided to have some fun—no, to teach Pivitt a lesson about the harsh realities of their society, using his uniquely crafted Zanpakutō.

"Let’s duel, Yu-Gi-Oh!" Kai declared.
