One Piece: Don't Worry, I'm a Doctor Chapter 354

Yet, not many people around the world noticed this scene right away.

They were all stunned by Whitebeard's final words before his death.

It was as if everyone had been paralyzed by some spell.

The image of Whitebeard, his face resolute as he shouted those words, was seared into the minds of every witness.

Just like Roger twenty years ago!

The ultimate goal that countless pirates had strived for, yet one that had seemed utterly hopeless.

Many had already begun to doubt whether it even existed...

But now, with Whitebeard's declaration, the world was set ablaze once more!

Pirates who had abandoned their dreams due to the lack of a clear goal now picked up their weapons again!

Countless oppressed people raised their sails.

But more than that, the vicious, bloodthirsty scum of the seas resumed their plundering and slaughter.

They raced against time, fearing they would fall behind!

In an instant, the seas descended into chaos—all because of Whitebeard's words!

Many pirates watching the broadcast immediately took up arms, launching into a frenzy of violence and looting!

Due to the war, the Marines stationed in numerous affiliated nations, already stretched thin, suffered crushing defeats.

This directly led to those nations lodging fierce complaints against the Marines afterward...

Staring at Vir, who had suddenly appeared and severed his only remaining hand, Blackbeard's eyes twisted with madness.

He had been so close to stealing that old monster's power for himself!

This bastard had ruined it all?! Where the hell had he come from?! He was supposed to have left!

That damned bastard! This piece of trash!

Again! He had ruined everything—again!

Blackbeard's face contorted with rage, a fury so intense it could burn Vir to ashes!

His single eye burned with pure, venomous hatred!

He wanted to tear Vir apart, slice him into a thousand pieces, flay him alive!

His heaving chest and predatory glare spoke clearly—he was losing it. He was on the verge of snapping!

But honestly, who could blame him? Anyone who had been screwed over this badly would lose their mind too.

But in Blackbeard's case... he had it coming.

Up above, Ace, Marco, and the others let out a massive sigh of relief the moment Vir appeared.

"Holy crap, that scared the hell outta me! Thank god my godfather's here! Take that bastard down! Kill him!"

"Yeah! That bastard... wait, what?! Bastard?! Ain't that like cursing Pops?! You idiot!"

Their emotions had been on a rollercoaster.

They'd been crying their eyes out, devastated by Pops' death.

But before their tears could even fall properly, Teach, that piece of trash, had made his move.

Instantly, their hearts had leapt into their throats.

Their grief had been replaced by sheer panic.

Now, seeing Vir intercept Blackbeard, they finally relaxed.

Thank god he was here.

Just a little later, and Teach would have succeeded.

A voice, both unfamiliar and yet eerily familiar, rang out above them.

"Yo~ Shiki! Didn't expect your old bones to still have some fight left in 'em!"

"Have you seen my daughter?!"

Hearing that voice, a familiar face flashed in their minds.

They snapped their heads up—

And sure enough, there stood a drunken Kaido beside Shiki, laughing with his signature drunken "Fuhihyihi!"

Their eyes bulged, their casual relief instantly replaced by horror!

What the hell?! Why was he here?! What did he want?!

And he looked wasted!

If he started causing trouble now, things would get really messy.

No one knew why he was here... He mentioned his daughter.

Was he looking for Yamato?

If so, that might be a blessing in disguise...

But unease still flickered across their faces.

Yamato's voice cut through the tension.

"Kaido!! I'm over here, Kaido!"

She waved frantically, trying to get his attention.

She could tell—the drunken ox was hammered.

And knowing him, he could start slaughtering people any second now.

For the sake of everyone here... for Ace's sake...

She had to get his attention.

Hearing her voice, Kaido turned.

"Hah?! What, you think I can't handle myself?! Watch your damn mouth—"

Shiki had barely started grumbling when Kaido, spotting Yamato, immediately stomped off toward her without another glance.

Leaving Shiki's face darkening with irritation.

He spat the word, but there was nothing he could do.

"Yamato! You idiot! Hic~ Picking a place to train?! Fuhihyihi! Good! This battlefield's perfect for you! You've got a sharp eye!"

Kaido had completely forgotten his earlier frustration about Yamato running off.

Instead, he was praising her.

A rare, almost happy grin stretched across his face.

There was only one reason—

When Yamato had called his name just now...

She hadn't added "you bastard" before it.

Letting her leave Onigashima seemed to have been the right call.

Maybe staying cooped up in that damn country, unconsciously imitating that fool Oden, hadn't been entirely her fault.

Perhaps he had been wrong. Maybe he should let her roam more often.

Hearing Kaido's words, Yamato was... stunned.

The old Kaido would've beaten her on sight if he wasn't in a good mood.

He'd spent years trying to lock her up.

If she hadn't been strong enough to fight back, she'd have been imprisoned long ago.

This sudden praise left her completely baffled.

"Oh, right! What about that doctor?! Did you recruit him?!"

Kaido's expression suddenly turned serious as he stared at Yamato.

At that, Yamato froze.

She'd almost forgotten about that damn task he'd given her.

Impossible. He had zero interest in joining the Beasts Pirates.

He'd made that clear the first time they met.

This was her first real mission for Kaido...

Just as she hesitantly opened her mouth to admit defeat—

Another voice cut in first.

"She did! She totally did!"

Everyone turned toward the voice.

There stood Marco, his pineapple head bobbing as he declared with absolute confidence—
