As the last remnants of consciousness faded, the body of the pirate captain was consumed by flames, turning to ash without leaving a single bone behind!
"Ding! Host has killed the pirate Kazik and received 5,000 killing points."
"Ding! Host has killed pirates and received 400 killing points."
"Ding! Host has killed pirate soldiers and received 600 killing points."
"Ding! Host has killed pirates and received 300 killing points."
Lucifer stood on the roof, withdrawing his fingers as the system prompts echoed in his mind. The kill points continued to rise, eventually settling at 56,000.
All the members of this pirate group were weaklings, and collectively, they didn't even exceed 8,000 killing points.
Tonight, Lucifer had been stationed at the port, with his Observation Haki activated. Any pirates attempting to flee from Crescent Island would be spotted by him immediately.
Under Lucifer's close watch, no pirate could escape safely.
The massive explosion at sea had naturally drawn the attention of many pirates, and they quickly understood Lucifer's intentions. If they didn't band together, they would all perish.
Lucifer clearly wanted to kill all the pirates on the island. If they didn't want to die, they had no choice but to unite and take him down.
Fight or die; they had nowhere to run!
"Damn it, we have to fight him!"
"There are only two of them! We have so many people; there's no way we can't take him down!"
"That's right! Any one of us could drown him with a spit!"
"If he wants us dead, we should return the favor!"
"Kill Lucifer! Kill him!"
The pirates on the island became like rabid dogs, exuding an overwhelming intent to kill.
This malice surged from all corners of the town, converging toward the coastal port.
Through Lucifer's Observation Haki, these murderous auras were "clearly visible," and he locked onto each one individually.
With the pirates in a frenzy, the town erupted into chaos, and the shouts for blood echoed across Crescent Island.
"Hey, hey, isn't there too many of them?" Cavendish stammered from behind Lucifer, panic evident in his voice.
After all, the number of pirates seeking to kill them had surpassed 10,000, and he felt overwhelmed just thinking about it.
Cavendish, still too inexperienced, lacked the courage to face such overwhelming odds.
But if it were Hakuba, the ruthless persona within him would only become more excited.
"If you're afraid, then step back. The boat is at the port; take Baby 5 and wait for me there," Lucifer said calmly.
Baby 5 had been seriously injured and had been in a coma for a day, still unconscious.
"Can you do this alone?"
"Shouldn't we retreat first?"
"There's no need to fight them to the death," Cavendish urged.
Lucifer simply smiled, "If you keep talking nonsense, you won't be able to leave."
Thousands of pirates charged forward, their murderous intent palpable.
Boom!
A gunshot rang out, a bullet narrowly missing Cavendish's cheek.
His face paled. "Then I'll go first!"
With that, Cavendish transformed into a black shadow, fleeing into the distance.
He couldn't help but glance back at Lucifer, increasingly convinced that his captain was an incredibly bloodthirsty killer.
Who else would willingly fight against tens of thousands of pirates for no reason at all?
Even the Marines didn't engage in such reckless battles, did they?
"Oh? What am I worried about?" Cavendish suddenly thought.
Why should he care? If Lucifer died, wouldn't he be free?
With that realization, Cavendish recognized that, somehow, he had come to see Lucifer as his captain.
They had only known each other for a day, yet there was no friendship between them.
"Does this guy really have such an impressive personality?" Cavendish wondered, looking intently at Lucifer's back.
In truth, this was another trait of those who possess Conqueror's Haki: Charisma.
Those who awaken Conqueror's Haki are rare, often possessing an undeniable magnetism. This charisma can draw in the strong, making powerful individuals develop favorable impressions, eventually leading them to surrender or pledge allegiance.
Thus, those with Conqueror's Haki often rise to prominence, followed by countless powerful allies.
Lucifer exuded this charisma.
Cavendish initially joined out of desperation, fearing Lucifer would kill him. However, he had unknowingly been influenced by Lucifer's charisma, leading him to naturally regard Lucifer as his captain.
On a nearby rooftop, Lucifer surveyed the throngs of pirates charging toward him, an evil smile spreading across his face.
"Kill Lucifer!"
"Chop him to pieces!"
"Come on!!!"
The shouts grew louder, and countless pirates opened fire, bullets raining down on Lucifer like a torrential storm.
Lucifer waved his hand, lowering it gracefully. "Wall of Vacuum."
An invisible barrier appeared, effortlessly blocking all incoming bullets.
"Let's go back!"
As soon as he finished speaking, all the bullets reversed, returning to their origin.
A group of pirates in the front row was struck down, collapsing like grass under a scythe.
"Ding! Host has killed pirates and received 300 killing points."
"Ding! Host has killed pirates and received 200 killing points."
"Ding! Host has killed pirates and received 400 killing points."
The system beeped incessantly as Lucifer prepared to strike once more.
"Light Saber: Bachi Qiong Gouyu!"
Countless golden lightsabers materialized around Lucifer, filling the sky in an instant.
