He was completely lost.

Lance had no recollection of that name. "And who are you?"
"Since you're going to die anyway, I'll show you a little mercy and tell you… My name is Diamante. Remember it. You're dying at the hands of the great Diamante. Consider that an honor!"
Diamante laughed theatrically.
Lance was confused, but then suddenly, something clicked. His pupils shrank as he cried out, "The 'Doffy' you mentioned—is that Donquixote Doflamingo?!"
No wonder the guy looked familiar—he was one of the officers of the Donquixote Family, the head of the Diamond Army—Diamante!
As a die-hard One Piece fan, Lance was all too familiar with the Dressrosa arc, which ran for over a hundred episodes. This Diamante wasn't just an executive officer of Doflamingo's crew and the user of the Hira Hira no Mi (Flutter-Flutter Fruit), he was also one of the four founding members who helped Doflamingo rise to power—someone with immense status and power!

"No way... this can't be happening! I didn't know anything!"
Lance panicked. "It was just a bump! That's not worth dying for!"
Are you kidding me? A bump is enough to get me killed?
Is the One Piece world really this irrational?
"Not worth it? You think you bumped into some stray cat or dog? That was Doffy—the king of Dressrosa! How dare you compare him to such filthy things!"
"Don't bother struggling. Just die already. If you learn one thing in your next life, make it this: you can offend anyone—but never Doffy!"
With that, Diamante pulled the trigger.
A shot rang out. Blood sprayed from the back of Lance's head. He collapsed to the ground, eyes wide with disbelief and despair—slowly dulling with death.
In his final moment, Lance had only one thought:
The world of One Piece really is insane!
"Ding! Congratulations! You have successfully died. Ajin System activated!"
"Scanning host's physical condition… Scan complete. Host's current state can sustain: 1 IBM."
"Resurrecting… please wait."
A pleasant female voice echoed in Lance's mind.
Isn't this the One Piece world? Why is there something from Ajin here?
But wait… I remember Ajin can't die, right?

"Deserved? If he hadn't died, I'd have shot him two more times! Damn bastard. Let's throw his body into the wild and let the beasts tear him apart!"
The two guards lit up cigarettes and took a relaxing puff as they joked and chatted.
They didn't notice that, beside them, black particles began to rise from Lance's body—grainy, sand-like matter bubbling up and swiftly reconstructing his form.

Lance's eyes flew open, filled with fury and killing intent.
"Dump my corpse for the beasts to eat?"
"Then I'll dismember the two of you first!"
With a single thought, black particles surged from his body again, quickly coalescing into a perfect, bandage-covered humanoid IBM.
"Awaiting… your… command…"
The hoarse voice rang out. The IBM bowed respectfully toward Lance.
