Chiga's question left Ivankov completely stunned. He blinked in disbelief.
"I don't have any spare Devil Fruits," Ivankov said cautiously, eyeing Chiga. "Did you come to the wrong person?"
"No. I'm talking about your Horm-Horm Fruit."
Ivankov's body tensed instantly. He hadn't expected that.
Everyone knew that once a Devil Fruit was eaten, it stayed with the user until their death. If Chiga wanted it... he must've meant to kill him.
Ivankov's face tightened with dread. The Conqueror's Haki Chiga had just unleashed was overwhelming—clearly, this man had the power to follow through on such a threat.
But surrender wasn't an option.
With a sharp spin, Ivankov launched himself away from Chiga, landing at a distance. His right eye widened, then blinked forcefully.
A deafening explosion rocked the spot where Chiga had stood, sending a cloud of dust billowing into the air.
But Ivankov didn't relax. A man with that kind of aura wouldn't go down so easily. That attack had just been a test.
Sure enough, as the smoke cleared, Chiga stood unharmed—looking more exasperated than injured.
"Hey, hey, I didn't come here to fight. What's with the overreaction?"
Chiga hadn't planned to use the Horm-Horm Fruit himself. He already had the Op-Op Fruit. He wanted to give the Horm-Horm Fruit to Law—his loyal little fan—so Law could have another healing-based ability.
"Quit joking! I already ate the Horm-Horm Fruit! You can't just take it out!"
Ivankov waved his arms dramatically. Then, without warning, his ten fingers sharpened like needles and stabbed into his face.
"Face Growth Hormones!"
Ivankov's already enormous face began to swell grotesquely, growing until it spanned nearly twenty meters. His body was completely hidden behind his chin as his enormous face shook violently, forming countless afterimages.
From Chiga's vantage point, it looked like an army of surreal, oversized heads glaring back at him.
He knew what was coming—Ivankov was about to unleash Galaxy Wink, his most powerful move.
Chiga sighed. This had gone far enough. He didn't want to hurt the guy, but this face enlargement thing was crossing into nightmare territory.
His figure flickered.
A moment later, Chiga appeared directly above Ivankov's head, just as the revolutionary opened his mouth to shout:
Before he could finish the name of his move, Chiga's fist smashed down on his massive forehead, slamming him face-first into the dirt.
He hadn't even used Haki—just a regular punch. But considering Chiga's body had already stepped into an Otsutsuki-level transformation, even that was enough to break Ivankov's posture completely.
Chiga hadn't come to kill him. Despite his eccentricities, Ivankov was a good man. His medical skills had saved countless lives, and his healing abilities had even rescued entire countries. Chiga wouldn't murder a man like that just to steal his fruit.
He wasn't afraid of killing—but he wouldn't do it needlessly. He drew the line at slaughtering inherently good people.
Ivankov groaned, his body shrinking back to normal as he lay in the dirt.
"Ugh... my face! It's ruined!"
Chiga landed beside him and muttered, "With a face like that, does it really matter?"
He patted Ivankov's head.
"Alright, can we talk like civilized people now?"
Ivankov groaned, pushing himself up slowly. His massive eyes were filled with resignation.
"You're strong," he said. "I admit it. I can't beat you. If you want to kill me, then just do it quickly… but please, spare my adorable subordinates."
Chiga shook his head.
Ivankov's face turned pale. He thought Chiga was going to slaughter all of them.
But instead, Chiga pulled a Devil Fruit from his coat and held it out.
"This is a Mythical Zoan—the Yamata no Orochi Fruit. Eat it, and you'll have eight lives. I'll trade it for your Horm-Horm Fruit."
Ivankov's eyes nearly bulged out of his head.
The Yamata no Orochi?! A mythical Zoan?
He'd read about it in ancient records. It didn't just create afterimages through speed—it actually gave the user eight separate heads and immense power. This fruit would be a perfect fit for his explosive combat style.
Stronger physical abilities. Amplified Hell Winks. He couldn't pretend he wasn't tempted.
But he also couldn't give up the Horm-Horm Fruit. Its ability to freely switch genders was… well, it was very him.
Besides, he'd already eaten a Devil Fruit. How could he consume another?
"That's the problem," Ivankov said, shaking his head. "Even if I wanted it, I've already eaten one. You can't switch Fruits just like that."
"You don't need to worry about that," Chiga said calmly. "I have a way. You just need to agree."
Ivankov stared at the confident Marine. His hands trembled slightly. He truly didn't know if Chiga was bluffing or not—but with his life hanging in the balance, he wasn't in a position to refuse.
And that Yamata no Orochi Fruit… was seriously tempting.
Chiga wasn't even forcing him. He'd made an offer. That was more mercy than Ivankov had expected.
After a moment of heavy silence, Ivankov nodded slowly.
A small smile tugged at Chiga's lips, calm and composed—but somehow still dazzling.
Ivankov blinked in awe and thought to himself, "This Marine is really handsome… I wonder how beautiful he'd look if he were a woman."
