Uchiha Chiga walked up to the kneeling, short-haired man in black, looking down at him.
The short-haired man in black immediately bowed , muttering repeatedly, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been disrespectful to you. Please, don't kill me!"
Seeing how humble this guy was, and how he had been relatively honest just now, Chiga lost interest in dealing with him. He simply squatted down, patted his shoulder, and motioned for him to look up.
The man in black looked up blankly, with a pleading expression on his face. He thought Chiga was about to make a move.
"Let me ask you, are you and that guy the Five Elders' bodyguards?"
"No, no, no! We are not worthy of being their bodyguards. We are from Mariejois. That fruit was given to you as a reward by the Five Elders, who instructed Lady Nerona to take it from her collection!"
"Then what was with your behavior just now?"
The short-haired man in black paused for a moment, then realized Chiga was referring to their arrogant attitude earlier. He stammered, "Lady Nerona felt that giving you this fruit was somewhat wasteful, so she told us to pay attention to our attitude…"
At this point, Chiga understood what he meant. This Celestial Dragon named Nerona was dissatisfied that her collection was given as a reward to a mere Navy Captain, and she wanted these two lackeys to annoy him.
A cold smile appeared on his face. Chiga stood up, motioned for the surrounding Navy soldiers to retreat, then walked past the kneeling man in black and returned to his office.
Although Chiga had left, the man in black remained kneeling, not daring to move, fearing he would give Chiga an excuse to act against him. Not until Chiga's voice came from the office did he stir.
"You can scram. Remember to deliver a message to your master. Tell her, thank you for her Devil Fruit. I am very satisfied. Tomorrow night, I will visit her. I want to thank her in person."
"Yes! Yes! I will, Lord Chiga!"
Hearing him say that, the short-haired man in black felt as if he had received a great pardon. He hoisted his barely conscious companion onto his back and stumbled and crawled out of the Navy base.
After the man in black left, Chiga stood in the center of his office, arms crossed, pondering how to deal with the Celestial Dragon named Nerona.
He had almost completely offended her this time. Tomorrow night, they would most likely fall out. If things truly escalated beyond control, he could only hope Nerona would try to not complicate things in regard of the Five Elders'.
If they favored this Nerona, then there was nothing more to say. Prepare to get spanked!

Suddenly, Chiga felt a soft pressure on his back, and a pair of fair arms wrapped around his waist.
Turning his head, Chiga saw the person embracing him: his little secretary, Kalifa.
Kalifa had never felt such warmth in her heart as she did today.
She was sent by her father to the World Government to be trained as a spy since childhood. Her childhood, was mostly her being detached. Everyone around her was equally cold-blooded and ruthless; no one had ever helped her.
Growing up in such an environment, and then being sent to monitor Chiga's every move, she had almost become a machine-like existence. But in her interactions with Chiga, her heart keeps getting softer.
Then Chiga saved her from Rayleigh again. That was Dark King Rayleigh! Even Chiga could have died on the spot in such a battle if he wasn't careful.

Yet, he still distracted himself to take her with him. One could say that from then on, she had become reliant on Chiga, and he keeps flirting with her.
Now, he had even directly taught that guy a lesson for being disrespectful to her, completely disregarding that they were the bodyguards of those people.
(A/N:Not really, but okay.... Not my fault, I've been trying so hard to make all this cringey lines sound realistic... But man, it's tuff)
Just for such a somewhat ridiculous reason, just for her, an insignificant person.
Kalifa buried her head in Chiga's back and chuckled. As she laughed, tears flowed from her eyes.
Sensing the dampness on his back, Chiga frowned. He said in a deep voice, "What's wrong? Not satisfied enough? Or are you worried about Nerona's retaliation? Don't worry, they can't do anything to me."
Chiga's tone carried a strong confidence, and this Chiga made Kalifa even more captivated.
Lifting her head from Chiga's back, Kalifa's eyes were filled with a sea-like tenderness, which made Chiga's heart tremble.
She stood on tiptoes, her pretty face slowly approaching Chiga's, as she pressed her lips against his.
Medis, experiencing this scene once again, rolled her eyes and squatted directly on Chiga's shoulder, quietly enjoying the show.
After a long time, their lips parted.
Kalifa reached out and caressed Chiga's face. Although tears still lingered on her face, a breathtaking beauty blossomed, and she softly parted her red lips, "Boss, from now on, I am yours."
Chiga was still immersed in the feeling from just now, unable to extricate himself. Hearing Kalifa's voice finally brought him back to his senses.
However, at this moment, his emotional intelligence seemed to have been sucked away by that kiss, as he asked a somewhat mood-killing question, "Why do you call me boss?"
Kalifa also didn't expect the usually quick-witted Chiga to suddenly become so slow. But looking at Chiga , she only found him so adorable and couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle, "Because I was sold to you, wasn't I? Aren't you my boss?"
"Ah? Oh, okay, hello, boss!"
Chiga's emotional intelligence finally came online at this point. Realizing how awkward he had been, he could only mumble, trying to cover up the embarrassment.
Kalifa just stared at Chiga, staring for a long time, as if she couldn't get enough, making Chiga feel a bit unnerved. He unconsciously touched his face and asked, "What's wrong? Is there something on my face?"
Kalifa narrowed her eyes and said seriously, "Nothing, I just thought about how handsome you are! I can't get enough of looking at you!"
Alright, Kalifa's combat power at this moment was simply too strong. Even Chiga, who had fought Dark King Rayleigh, felt a bit overwhelmed and was completely silenced.
Seeing that Chiga wasn't speaking, Kalifa stopped her teasing him. She gently brushed off the dust that had gotten on Chiga's clothes and asked, "Boss, what are you going to do about meeting that Celestial Dragon tomorrow night?"
At this point, hearing this question, Chiga felt it didn't matter anymore. The more pressing concern for him now was what to do about Gion?
Thinking of Gion, Chiga felt another headache, and his brows furrowed again.
Seeing Chiga's expression, Kalifa thought he was also troubled by this matter. She pursed her lips and said with some concern, "What's wrong, Boss? Are you worried about tomorrow night? It's all my fault, I've implicated you."
Chiga looked at Kalifa in surprise, then realized his little secretary had misunderstood. He quickly explained, "No, those people are nothing. I'm thinking about… sigh, I'm thinking about Gion."
Hearing Chiga's words, Kalifa also froze. She hadn't expected Chiga to still be thinking about this at such a time. This offbeat thought directly made her laugh.
Chiga looked at Kalifa in confusion and said, "What are you laughing at?"
Kalifa laughed for a while, then reined in her laughter and pointed a finger at Chiga's chin. "What are you worried about? You're my boss, and I'm just your secretary!"
Chiga fell silent. He knew Kalifa was telling him not to worry, that she wouldn't ruin his relationship with Gion. In other words, she was putting herself in a very low position.
Sigh, my Kalifa… Chiga couldn't help but curse himself inwardly, "I'm really a scumbag…"
Well, this matter would be a marvel even within the Uchiha clan. After all, among a group of pure love warriors, there appeared a scumbag like Uchiha Chiga, which could be considered bringing glory to his ancestors.
Geez... Man, I'm cringing so hard rn.
