One Piece: Silent-Silent Fruit Chapter 50

"Rosinante-nii, what are you doing? That soft, slow movement—are you dancing?" Robin couldn't hold back her curiosity any longer and finally asked.

"This? What I'm practicing right now is an invincible martial art!" Rosinante exhaled slowly and grinned.

"Dancing? Invincible? You're saying that soft, floaty dance is martial arts?" Robin asked incredulously.

"It's not dance—it's martial art, like swordsmanship is for swordsmen, and boxing is for pugilists," Rosinante replied confidently.

"Martial art? It still looks like dancing…" Robin muttered skeptically.

"It's martial arts! I'm telling you, once I master this move, I'll be invincible—well, at least very few could match me. Even against the world's strongest man, Whitebeard, I could hold my own for a few exchanges!" Rosinante said proudly.

"But how can such soft and gentle movements hurt anyone? How about I go find you some training methods from the Tree of Knowledge?" Robin offered, tilting her head.

"There are training methods in the Tree of Knowledge?" Rosinante asked, genuinely surprised.

"Of course! The Tree of Knowledge is the most complete library in the world. Naturally, there are texts on physical training methods," Robin said confidently.

Hearing that, a thought stirred in Rosinante's heart.

The Tree of Knowledge—reputed to house the world's most comprehensive collection of scholarly documents, a treasure trove of human civilization—was more than just a library. Unlike most people in this world who only pursued brute force, Rosinante understood that knowledge was the true driving force of progress.

Robin's words sparked a bold idea.

Wouldn't it be an irreparable loss if all those priceless texts were destroyed when the World Government launched the Buster Call?

"Robin, do you know where I can find a Den Den Mushi?" Rosinante asked.

"Dr. Clover has one. Do you need to make a call, Rosinante-nii?" Robin asked.

"Yeah, I suddenly want to make a very important call," Rosinante said casually.

"I'll go ask Dr. Clover! I'm sure he'll lend it to you!" Robin beamed and ran toward the Tree of Knowledge.

Little did Robin know that the reason Rosinante wanted the Den Den Mushi was to call someone to empty the Tree of Knowledge before the World Government could.

The Den Den Mushi he'd carried had been tossed away during his battle with Kaido—he had gotten carried away and simply discarded it. So during the past six months in Ohara, he hadn't contacted Bins or anyone else from his camp.

But he hadn't been worried. The Grey kingdom had developed its own structure and could function without him for a while. His recovery had long since been confirmed, and as long as the squad leaders and the Bloodsworn guards stayed in line, the country wouldn't fall into chaos.

Still, Robin's mention of the Tree of Knowledge had triggered a realization—perhaps it was time to act. If he could get someone to relocate all those books and documents during the Buster Call, he would preserve one of the world's most invaluable collections.

Knowledge was power. It was also the true foundation of any great force.

Why had the sea, despite being overrun by pirates, never managed to shake the World Government?

Because pirates, no matter how strong, had no foundation. Even the mighty Whitebeard Pirates or Big Mom Pirates were, in the eyes of the World Government, little more than annoying gnats—dangerous but ultimately manageable.

Over the course of 800 years, the World Government had seen countless powerful pirate crews rise and fall. Never once had any of them truly threatened its reign.

Because pirates were just muscle without legacy. Their entire force relied on one overpowered captain. And time… time was their deadliest enemy. Even the strongest pirate ages, and when that day comes, the once-dominant pirate crew crumbles to dust.

Don't be fooled by the current might of Whitebeard or Big Mom. The World Government barely took them seriously.

Why? Because the Government possessed what pirates lacked—deep, enduring foundations. Not just the Celestial Dragons' secrets, but the massive troves of technology, knowledge, and war potential that the World Government controlled. If the Government ever decided to truly go all-in, they could wipe out any pirate crew on the planet with ease.

The only reason they didn't was because they knew they could never eliminate the root cause: the hearts of men. Even if they eradicated all pirates today, new ones would rise tomorrow.

And truth be told, the cost of wiping out every pirate would be too great, so they allowed the seas to remain wild—because pirates, in a twisted way, helped reinforce their own control. The chaos made common people cling tighter to the security the World Government offered.

So even if the Celestial Dragons acted like monsters, even if the World Government was rotting from within, it still stood tall.

Because to the world, there was always a bigger evil—pirates.

Soon enough, Robin returned, and she brought someone with her.

It was none other than the renowned Dr. Clover, the head librarian of the Tree of Knowledge and one of Ohara's most esteemed scholars.

Dr. Clover was visibly surprised when Robin told him she wanted to borrow a Den Den Mushi. He knew Robin's situation and doubted she had any urgent need to make calls.

Could it be that she'd somehow gotten in contact with her mother, Olivia?

Worried that Robin might be getting involved with something dangerous—or worse, tricked by the CP organization, which had recently increased activity in Ohara—Dr. Clover asked her about it. That's when he learned about Rosinante.

Now suspicious, Dr. Clover feared Rosinante might be a CP agent trying to manipulate Robin. So he used the phone request as an excuse to come along and see for himself.

"Rosinante-nii!" Robin waved cheerfully. "This is Dr. Clover, my teacher at the Tree of Knowledge!"

"Nice to meet you. I feel like I've seen you somewhere before…" Dr. Clover looked at Rosinante curiously.

"Heh, I think today's the first time we've met," Rosinante replied with a smile.

Dr. Clover nodded slightly and handed over a Den Den Mushi. "Here's the phone you wanted."

"Thanks!" Rosinante accepted it and immediately dialed a few numbers.

"Hello?" a confused voice answered from the other end.

"It's me," Rosinante said calmly.

"Your Majesty!" Bins' excited voice came through immediately.

"I'm currently in Ohara, West Blue. You know where that is, right? Bring the team here right away," Rosinante ordered.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Bins replied without hesitation.

Rosinante ended the call and handed the Den Den Mushi back to Dr. Clover.

The old scholar took it slowly, then gave Rosinante a long, thoughtful look.

From the way Bins had addressed him, it was clear—Rosinante was no ordinary man.

But at least… he wasn't a government spy.
