“Thank you so much for checking on us.” He Bai smiled at her in a soothing way, then he officially introduced her and Di Qiuhe to know each other.
Yan Yuan got so nervous, she stuttered some greetings to Di Qiuhe.
Di Qiuhe exchanged greetings with her in a polite way, but all of sudden he became too polite to be approachable.
He Bai had seen through him, he knew Di Qiuhe was jealous about how he talked affectionately to Yan Yuan at the ceremony.
Yan Yuan was a very shy girl, who was not very good at reading between the lines or observing tensions, plus she came here on a mission — to identify the suspect! She went to the officers to tell them about the phone call she heard in the hotel right after she said hi to He Bai and Di Qiuhe.
The sheriff realized this was no joking matter, he asked some officers to check the hotel room.
Soon they headed off to the police station, Di Chunhua had to answer nature’s calling, so she woke up. The sheriff asked Yan Yuan to identify whether it was this girl that she had seen in the hotel.
Yan Yuan had been learning sketching since she was a kid, she was sensitive about portraits. Di Chunhua was making faces to disguise Yan Yuan, yet she failed.
The officers who went to the hotel now came back to the station, they also brought back the CCTV footage.
The two girls who pretended they were Di Qiuhe’s fans confessed everything in front of solid evidence.
It turned out they were not students like they had claimed, and they did not even know Di Chunhua, they were street punks! Di Chunhua approached them when they were penniless, saying she could offer them a job in modelling.
The two girls trusted her easily, yet they were beaten up and were forced to take naked pictures by Di Chunhua, they had to be part of Di Chunhua’s plan to get their pictures back.
Two young girls, one fifteen, one sixteen, they cried bitterly and loudly in excessive grief when they confessed what they had gone through.
While Di Chunhua refused to confess anything, she insisted on seeing a lawyer and calling her mom.
Di Qiuhe was not surprised that Di Chunhua refused to work with the police, he only found this step sister of his ridiculously stupid! How on earth could she have it her way this time with solid evidence on the table! If she showed a nice attitude and admitted her mistakes, she might stand a chance of a light punishment, but things would only turn worse with that attitude she was now showing. The more stubborn she behaved, the worse impression she would leave the judge!
Di Chunhua told the officers that she wanted to meet Di Qiuhe, but Di Qiuhe refused to meet her, he did not see the point.
Di Qiuhe and He Bai left the station with Yan Yuan after they finished statements, they treated Yan Yuan to dinner as a thank you gift, and they felt sorry that Yan Yuan missed the auction because of them.
The two were loud in their thanks, Yan Yuan flushed crimson.
They walked Yan Yuan to the hotel after dinner, and they checked in a better hotel.
Di Qiuhe was excited because finally he could lie down right next to his puppy after several nights’ of sleeping on separate beds. He cuddled He Bai tightly, ready to exercise till dawn, while He Bai called it a day at midnight.
Di Chunhua’s lawyer arrived the next morning, and so did Xing Shaofeng with the lawyer he found for Di Qiuhe and He Bai.
“How do you want to deal with this matter?” Xing Shaofeng asked in high spirits, no trace of tiredness from red-eye flight could be seen, “You want to solve it once and for all or have some fun with it?”
Have some fun with it?
He Bai shot Di Qiuhe a warning look, “What have you done to Xing Shaofeng, why is he talking like you now?”
Di Qiuhe covered He Bai’s mouth, he looked at Xing Shaofeng and said, “Once and for all please.”
“I see.” Xing Shaofeng nodded, he smiled at the two and left the room knowingly.
“What are you doing?” He Bai finally managed to take off Di Qiuhe’s hand, then he asked, “What’s the plan now, are we staying here for the outcome?”
“No.” Di Qiuhe leaned closer to He Bai and stroked his nose, “Let’s have a honeymoon in advance.”
He Bai rolled his eyes, “Haha, you want a break, don’t you?” It was a precious opportunity the two travelled together, why not make the most out of it? He nodded in agreement.
Di Qiuhe smiled delightfully, he grabbed his puppy into his arms and rolled together.
Soon they left this Di Chunhua thing behind, they dived into trip planning and stuff readily. Before they came up with a solid plan, a middle-aged man knocked on the door.
“Excuse me, I’m Cooper Smith, I just bought this photo of Mr. He’s at the auction, do you have a minute for me, please?” said this man sincerely at the door.
He Bai walked to the door after he heard something in the room, he asked in surprise, “It’s you!”
Di Qiuhe asked him, “You know this gentleman?”
“Not exactly, but I met him at the backstage of a runway.” answered He Bai, he remembered it was this middle-aged man who kept staring at Di Qiuhe at that runway.
They invited him in and served him some tea.
Cooper said thanks and took the tea, he firstly said he felt sorry for what happened to them yesterday, then he spoke highly of He Bai’s works, and then he looked at Di Qiuhe.
“I work for V&G, my company finds Mr. Di a perfect a model for our new collection, we’d like to invite Mr. Di to shoot a few snaps for us, and also we’d like to invite Mr. He to be our photographer for Mr. Di. What do you guys think?”
The two exchanged a look.
V&G was one of the most luxurious brands in the whole world, famous for the retro style and exquisite design, which also was Di Qiuhe’s favorite brand, he happened to wear V&G in “Him” and “Qiu”.
