And to these reports, the Homebody Witch listened intently, occasionally nodding in agreement, yet deep down, she felt somewhat disappointed.
"Sigh, how tedious. Half a day's listening and it's all about the witches' success. Isn't there any local progress? Achievements that seem too much like game cheats are indeed dull."
That's what Dorothy thought to herself.
In the original history, the witches were victorious in the end because they were led by the God King, with other witches simply contributing to the ambiance, following in the wake of his victory, and at best, serving as tools.
Now, in this Witch's Night, if possible, the Homebody Witch hoped that the ultimate victory could be achieved through everyone's efforts together.
But as things stood, it was true that everyone was trying harder. However, the main efforts were almost entirely coming from the witch students participating in the trial. The contributions from the local plot NPCs were limited.
If this continued, wouldn't it just switch from being God King-led to Witch's Blood-led? Those NPCs who were supposed to play the main characters would still be winning by doing nothing.
Such a victory, in Dorothy's view, was somewhat imperfect.
