The person and the blade exchanged a glance, growing much closer to each other.
However, the sound of sharpening blades in the coffin behind the homebody witch grew louder.
"Oh, what a pity, Sophia, you missed a great opportunity this time. I should have let you out to take a swipe at the blade."
Dorothy thought of something and transmitted her voice to the inside of the coffin behind her.
With that, the sharpening sounds from the coffin slightly subsided.
"I've long since had a suitable weapon, I don't need another."
Within the coffin space, the Pure White Witch stopped maintaining and honing her Sword Staff and said so.
Her Sword Staff was far superior to that Demon Blade. It was one of two embryos forged by her former teacher using an entire world rich in mineral elements, laying the foundation for it to become legendary equipment.
She received the Sword Embryo, while the Spear Embryo was treasured by her teacher. Although the teacher never said it, Sophia could guess for whom the Spear Embryo was reserved.
So, watching the young lady outside, foolishly charmed by a mere humanoid Demon Blade, the Pure White Witch sneered dismissively.
"My foolish young lady, you have no idea what it means to refuse the wealth of the teacher."
But, oh well, as long as the young lady is happy, that Demon Blade is indeed quite good, possessing the characteristic of growing alongside its master.
Sophia's golden eyes rotated and thoroughly discerned the true nature of the Demon Sword Princess.
She wasn't fond of equipment with too much autonomy. Even her Armored Beast, Angel, wouldn't be with her if it weren't a gift from her teacher.
After all, having autonomy means a potential risk of betrayal.
Sophia glanced somewhat helplessly at the Sword Staff in her hand.
"The spirituality is increasing, isn't it going to awaken? How annoying."
The Pure White Witch thought helplessly.
They say Psychic Wands are hard to come by and often require the master's extra care to awaken.
However, Sophia felt she hadn't been particularly careful. She only regularly maintained it with the respect a warrior should have for a weapon, to prevent problems when needed due to lack of maintenance.
But apparently, this level of care is considered cherishing? Is it such a simple thing that many people can't do it?
Sophia couldn't quite understand.
Oh well, although she didn't like it, she wasn't about to directly snuff out the growing spirituality; she just continued to carefully and seriously care for the Sword Staff as usual.
"What about you, senior Fanny?"
Seeing her roommate's indifferent demeanor, Dorothy looked towards her own hat.
"Heh, it's not that I look down on others, it's just that the Demon Blades here seem too fragile to me and can't withstand my strength. Unless that Oiran herself steps up, any small knife or sword would be broken by my play."
Senior Fanny said proudly.
Alright, you're the boss, whatever you say goes.
Just as the homebody witch was thinking about how to get Miss Red Shadow to perform a great trick of transforming blades for her.
Many guests present had already completed the task of subduing their Demon Blades.
Of course, this didn't have much to do with Dorothy, or so she believed.
"Allow me to try your blade, Miss. My sword thirsts for a fight with you; it tells me you are a worthy opponent."
A witch dressed as a Samurai jumped out, pointing her sword at Dorothy, thus issuing a challenge.
...the homebody witch was dumbfounded...
