The four left Lun Mountain City and, according to the agreement, they arrived at an Old Town that had been overtaken by wild vegetation.
Old Town was no longer inhabited, and the lumber yards, stone fields, and coal mountains were all deserted. Even within Old Town, a plethora of wild animals had taken up residence, some of which had become like spirits and were now walking on two legs along the old streets.
"Hmph, they're all contemptible beings, thinking that by absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth they can become spirits. They're just like the ignorant humans here, naively believing they can go from being earthworms in rotten soil to becoming dragons and phoenixes in the heavens, utterly ridiculous!" the Golden Eyes Poison Subhuman Viper said disdainfully.
"Exactly. They even harbor thoughts of Longevity, of living as long as the heavens," said a young man in an exquisite Taoist robe, slowly walking out with a Longevity Vine in his hand.
"Young Master Yan, thank you for your efforts," said the poison subhuman strategist respectfully.
The young man known as Young Master Yan gave a slight smile. He planted the Longevity Vine into the soil and then began to use a Spirit Absorption Technique, turning all the surroundings' energies into streams that flowed into the soil of the Longevity Vine.
Nourished by the spiritual energy, the Longevity Vine thrived and climbed upwards along an invisible ladder in the air.
The poison subhumans had rarely seen such a magic and couldn't help but marvel again and again.
Spirit Absorption was entirely a form of plunder. The surrounding lush vegetation began to wither rapidly, and weaker spirits and creatures seemed to have their blood sucked away, inexplicably shriveling and withering, as if they had suddenly entered their twilight years on the brink of death.
The Longevity Vine grew lusher, bursting with life, climbing into the void in the sky, as if growing into another world, its top no longer visible.
"In ancient times, this was a vine leading to the Immortal Realm. Now, it is only used to break through this frail dimensional barrier..." Young Master Yan said somewhat regretfully.
The Longevity Sect was once so brilliant, with a place in heaven and worshiped by All Races on earth.
Now, however, it was declining and depleted, needing to be patient and courteous even to these low-class people, to educate them.
"The Longevity Sect will live on forever. A moment of dimness is but for the brilliance of the next era," the poison subhuman strategist said.
"Our Longevity nation will be revived!" declared Young Master Yan.
Making a beckoning gesture, Young Master Yan indicated for them to climb the Longevity Dimension Vine and they could leave Nuwa God End's realm.
The four did not hesitate and climbed onto the Longevity Vine.
Clearly, the vine possessed the ability to grow across space; after climbing just a few steps upwards, it appeared as though they had reached the clouds. Climbing further beyond the clouds, they arrived at another world...
"Squeak squeak squeak~~~"
Suddenly, the Longevity Vine tending towards the heavens began to sway slightly.
The Poison Subhuman hastily grasped the vine and then looked down with confusion.
Young Master Yan was also on this Longevity Vine, looking down towards its root, only to see a small white rat gnawing at the thick Longevity Vine with astonishing speed!
"Where did this rat spirit come from!" Young Master Yan roared with rage, but he plummeted from the heights. He then slapped heavily at the rat spirit.
However, the rat spirit was no ordinary creature. It skillfully dodged his palm strike, then kicked off the Longevity Vine with such force that it caused the entire vine to tilt and collapse.
Once the roots were destroyed, the Longevity Vine's divine ability to stretch into another dimension also vanished. The four Poison Subhumans hung in the biting cold of the high sky, looking up to find the atmosphere outside was an expanse of vastness—a universe from which escape was impossible.
With the abilities of the Poison Subhumans, it was impossible for them to leave the Nuwa God End on their own, an inner world completely isolated from the outside – one of Nuwa's Laws.
"Gentlemen, since you've come in, how could I let you leave alive? That would make us, Nuwa's people, seem lacking in manners, wouldn't it?" A voice arose from the streets of Old Town.
A young man walked over slowly, his exposed skin shining with a faint golden light, looking divine and handsome under the just-rising sunlight.
"It's you!" The Poison Subhuman Viper recognized Wu Hen at a glance, and his pupils uncontrollably betrayed a touch of unease.
This unease was fleeting, and thinking of their king by their side, the Poison Subhuman Viper couldn't help but show a smug expression.
If all of Lun Mountain City's human Heavenly Brilliance were to take action, it indeed would threaten them. But the strong ones of Lun Mountain City were currently exhausted dealing with Alien Insects and would not possibly come to exterminate them.
"Just you alone?" The Golden Eyes Poison Subhuman Viper laughed.
"That's enough," Wu Hen smiled in response.
If this were the outside world, Wu Hen would indeed be cautious, given that the Poison Subhuman Viper's strength was not inferior to the Silver Winged Mantis.
