Lance had no idea what the conversation on the other side was about. After handling some of his work, he finally managed to find time to head to the backyard.
The door lock opened. Instead of hearing the shrill howling of wolves, it was unusually quiet. But in the next second, a figure burst out from the corner, its fierce face emerging from the darkness, exuding a strong intent to kill.
Lance’s reaction was anything but slow, as he directly kicked the figure away.
The figure rolled a few times on the ground and got up the next second, seemingly unharmed by the attack.
Sensing the strength of its opponent, it didn’t launch a rash attack. Instead, it crouched low to the ground, its throat emitting a trembling growl.
Lance finally saw its appearance clearly. What met his eyes was an exaggeratedly large wolf cub, robust and agile, with thick and lush fur. Some patches were matted with blood, adding to its disheveled look.
Whether it was the so-called Wolf God Bloodline or the effects of the ritual acting on it, its size had matched that of an adult female wolf within a month. If it continued to grow, who knew what kind of behemoth it would become.
More frightening than its size were its eyes, filled with wild madness.

After testing and feeling the strength of the white wolf, Lance retracted the Shield and walked toward it barehanded. Such a posture was tantamount to suicide when facing a natural hunter!
The murderous intent in the white wolf’s eyes didn’t diminish in the slightest; only pure madness remained!
With a low growl, the white wolf didn’t hesitate any longer and charged once again, leaping forward as if to pin down its prey. Its snarling face seemed to be aiming for his neck.
Facing the charging white wolf, Lance too became excited. He clenched his fists, and the dormant strength within his muscles was called into action.
With no finesse, just brute force, he smashed his fist directly into the wolf’s huge head.
The sensation was like hitting stone, and in the next second, the white wolf was sent flying backward.

Lance didn’t press the attack. Instead, he moved his body. The Strengthening had brought power, but it also made his body restless. He needed an outlet to adapt to this new strength.

When it set its eyes on Lance again, they turned blood-red. Its mouth, baring sharp fangs, dribbled a mixture of blood and saliva, making it look even more ferocious.

Without waiting for the white wolf to attack, he took the initiative, dodging its sweeping claws before kicking out.
The white wolf nimbly dodged and launched itself forward in a pounce, its mouth giving off a strong stench before it could even get close.
But Lance wouldn’t give it that chance. He thrust out his hand, deftly grabbed the fur on its neck, then flipped the wolf over and pinned it to the ground.
