“Where… is he?” Victoria asked.

“He must have some important things to handle, otherwise, the young master wouldn’t have left,” Aunt Taylor explained. “These past three days he has never left your side. In the many years I’ve spent at the Johnson’s, I have never seen the young master so concerned about someone.”
Hearing Aunt Taylor’s words, Victoria’s heart filled with an inexplicable sadness.
“Before the Young Master carried you back home, Dr. Chester was already waiting at the house. Although you didn’t have any serious injuries, you had a persistent fever from the cold. The Young Master refused to let Dr. Chester leave. His pleading tone was like that of a child. It wasn’t until your fever broke last night, that Dr. Chester was allowed to go home.”
