Victoria had to admit that Chloe’s words did give her pause.
Victoria couldn’t help but wonder, what was she plotting? Was it to sow discord?
“Miss Johnson doesn’t need to worry about that. Arnold will of course tell me, and I know why he likes me. Sometimes, feelings just happen without reason,” Victoria responded.
With a hint of disdain, Chloe said lightly, “Is that so? Then did Arnold ever mention a woman named Julia to you?”
