And for your information, I don't need to know moment of my subordinates, it just exaggeration spread by masses. Of Arthur didn't say that out loud.
Arthur also noticed a hint of hatred in Rias's voice when she mentioned the Ancient One. This piqued his curiosity. Why would she have such strong feelings against him?
In fact, Rias haven't even seen Ancient One, in official terms.
Arthur decided to continue, "Yes, Ancient One is aware of my presence here. My mission has been sanctioned with the intention of preventing a greater conflict. The leadership of Nazarick understands the stakes and the necessity of my actions."
Rias's eyes narrowed slightly, as if weighing his words. "And you believe that by being here, you can change the course of the future?"
Arthur nodded. "I do. But it's not something I can do alone. I need your cooperation and that of your peerage. After all, I am just a seer not a fighter."
Rias remained silent for a moment, her gaze still scrutinizing Arthur. "You seem genuine, but your association with Ancient One makes it hard for me to fully trust you. I've heard things about Ancient One, things that are hard to ignore."
Seeing the opportunity, Arthur tried to dig deeper. "What have you heard, Rias? Perhaps understanding your concerns can help us build trust."
Rias hesitated before speaking. After all, the one in front her is clam to subordinate of Ancient one after all.
"I've heard that the Ancient One is ruthless, willing to do anything to maintain power. Some say that he has caused great suffering to achieve his goals and even though he is not strong, he got powerful subordinates to do his betting. He wouldn't even mind killing hundred thousand for his entertainment. I also heard that he would collect innocent souls and let them fight in purgatory." Rias continue.
"So If you are here on his orders, how can I be sure your intentions are truly for the greater good?"
Ah fuck, what do you consider of me Rias, a demon, I am in fact a demon still. The innocent souls you are talking about is mass murderer who escaped from the cycle of reincarnation of Yggdrisil and of course I won't show them mercy.
And killing Hundred thousand for entertainment? Sure, I may be little fucked up but I not fucked up enough to hunt and hurt weak, my target is always strong but I am the strongest. And the problem of being strongest is my only target is myself. Arthur thought.

With a long sigh, Arthur started his narrative, "Ancient One has made difficult decisions, some of which may seem harsh. But every action taken has been with the greater good in mind. Peace is the ultimate goal, even if the path to it is fraught with challenges. In fact when was the last time you hear Ancient one waged war. None, Right. I am here because I believe there is a better way, a way to avoid unnecessary bloodshed and suffering."
Rias's expression softened slightly but soon it return to normal. "That not the only reason why I don't like Ancient One." She said.

Arthur's eyes widened slightly at Rias's accusations. Lies! he thought vehemently.

Taking a deep breath, Arthur spoke calmly, "Rias, I can assure you those rumors are completely false. The Ancient One values loyalty and honor above all else. Yes, he has multiple wives, but all his relationships are based on mutual respect and love. The notion that he targets any woman who catches his eye is a gross misrepresentation."

Though her skepticism remained. "I will give you a chance, Arthur. But know this: I will not hesitate to protect my peerage and this town if I sense any threat from you or Nazarick."
Arthur nodded. "I understand, Rias. And I assure you, my purpose here is to protect, not to harm. Let's work together to ensure a future of peace."
With that, Rias finally relaxed a bit.
