"That... that was the worst thing that's ever happened to me!" He glared at Arthur. "Why would you do something so cruel?!"
"Crual? I call that enlightenment." Arthur said with a light laugh.
Rias didn't say much; may be she also thought that Issei needed a reality check. After all, he is going to be her peer member today.
Hearing Arthur, Issei said, "Enlightenment! You made me think I was dead and was going to some kind of boobless hell!"
Rias, standing beside Arthur, tried to stifle her laugh but failed; her soft chuckles filled the room. "Arthur, I told you it was to much. Poor issei, he looks like he is about to faint."
Issei crossed his arm and was read to retort but suddenly stopped mid-motion, his face paled, and he took a cautious step back. "Wait a minute..." His eyes looked between Arthur and Rias. "How the hell did you create that... that dream? And why are you even in my room?!"
The realization hit him like a ton of bricks. He pointed a trembling finger at Arthur. "No normal guy can control dreams like that. Just who—or what—are you?!"
Arthur raised an eyebrow, clearly amused; his face was clearly saying Did you realize that just now?
Before Arthur could respond, Rias stepped in, offering a reassuring smile. "Calm down, Issei. Let's not jump to conclusions."
"Jump to conclusions?!" Issei said, his voice rising an echo inside his room. "You just admitted he made that nightmare! And you're acting like it's totally normal! Normal people don't do that!"
"You are funny, Hyoudou. You're not wrong. I'm anything but normal." Arthur said.
"And you're just okay with this?" Issei turned to Rias, his voice still trembling. "Why are you even here? And why are you hanging out with him?"
Rias sighed, stepping forward. "Issei, I think it's time you knew the truth."
"The truth about what?" Issei asked warily, taking another step back. "That you're both secretly aliens or something? Are you here to suck my brain or something?"
"You have a brain? I am surprised." Arthur commented.
Hearing Arthur, Issei was speechless.
"Aliens? That's creative, but no. We're not aliens." Rias said. "You've always known there was something different about Kuoh Academy, haven't you?"
Issei blinked, "Different? What do you mean?"
"The strange aura around the old school building. The way some students seem... out of place. And the fact that you were attacked recently."
Issei's eyes widened as memories of the stabbing incident resurfaced. He instinctively touched his chest again, as if to reassure himself that he was still intact. "You... you know about that?"
"Of course," Rias said. "You were targeted because of what you've become."
"What've become?" Issei repeated, "What are you talking about?"
Arthur stepped in, "Ah, fuck the suspense, Issei, You're not entirely human anymore. That guy who attacked you wasn't some random lunatic. He knew what you were—what you are now."
"Not human? What are you saying? This doesn't make any sense!" Issei said in disbelief.
Rias sighed; she knew this is the hard part of making a human a peerage member. "You died that night, Issei. But before your life slipped away completely, I intervened. I resurrected you as a devil, one of my servants."
Issei stared at her, his mouth hanging open. "A... devil? You mean like horns, pitchforks, fire, and brimstone kind of devil?"
Arthur chuckled, shaking his head. "Not quite. Though the horns would've been hilarious."
Rias shot Arthur a glare before returning her focus to Issei. "It's not what you think. Devils aren't just creatures of folklore. We're a powerful race, living alongside humans but hidden from them. And you, Issei, are now one of us."
"This... this has to be some kind of joke. Devils aren't real!"
"After what you just experienced, you're still doubting the supernatural?" Arthur quipped, raising an eyebrow.
Rias held up a hand, summoning a small ball of crimson energy that crackled in the air between her fingers. "Does this look like a joke to you? We are real, Issei; whether you like it or not, you have become a devil."
Issei's jaw dropped as he stared at the glowing orb. "What the hell is that?!"

"So you're telling me... I'm a devil now? And you're my... boss?"
Rias nodded. "That's correct. I saved your life, and in doing so, you became part of my peerage."
"This is insane. What about my life? My parents? My dream of becoming the Harem King?!" Issei said.
"Being a devil makes you closer to becoming a harem king, don't you know that?" Arthur said.
"Are you serious?" Issei asked.
"I am," Arthur replied. "But you need to obey Rias."
Rias placed a hand on Issei's shoulder. "Your life doesn't have to change drastically. You can still go to school, live with your parents, and pursue your... dreams. But you'll also have responsibilities as a devil. You'll need to learn about our world and protect yourself from those who would harm you."
Issei looked at her. "Protect myself? You mean like that guy who attacked me?"
Rias nodded solemnly. "There are many threats out there, Issei. But don't worry. You're not alone. We'll guide you and teach you how to survive."
Arthur smirked. "And maybe teach you some manners while we're at it."
