Albedo stormed down the corridors of Nazarick, her mind still reeling from the tense meeting she had just left. The air was still thick with the simmering rivalry between the women, but as she moved further away, she began to calm herself, reminding herself of one thing: Alex was hers, and no one else could take him away.
A maid had informed her that Alex was on the 6th Floor with Grayfia, and Albedo felt a surge of irritation at the thought. Grayfia. That silver-haired woman had been getting close to him lately, too close. The fact that Alex was spending time with her, right after the round table meeting with the other women, gnawed at her.
As she approached the long corridor leading to the 6th Floor, her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by an unexpected sound. A soft, unmistakable moan filtered through one of the doors. Albedo stopped dead in her tracks, her golden eyes narrowing dangerously.
"*Who would dare?*" she thought angrily. The guest rooms were not supposed to be used for such... activities. Every guardian, maid, and servant in Nazarick had their own private chambers. For someone to be using a guest room for something so intimate—it was disrespectful, especially in her presence.
Her fury ignited, she swiftly turned toward the room where the sound had come from, her fingers already twitching toward her weapon. She was ready to deal with whoever was foolish enough to desecrate Nazarick in such a way.
But when she peeked through the slightly ajar door, Albedo's breath caught in her throat.
There, on the bed, tangled in sheets, were Alex and Grayfia. The scene before her was nothing short of scandalous. The dim lighting in the room only served to highlight their entangled forms, their movements fluid and passionate. Grayfia's silver hair was spread out across the pillow, her cheeks flushed as she arched against Alex's body, her moans soft yet filled with unmistakable pleasure.
Albedo's heart raced, her chest tightening as she watched Alex, her Lord, her beloved, moving with such intensity and desire. He held Grayfia with an intimacy that sent a sharp pang through Albedo's heart. It wasn't just lust—it was the way Alex touched her, the way Grayfia responded with total surrender.
Her hands clenched into fists, and for a moment, she contemplated barging in, pulling Grayfia away, and reclaiming Alex for herself. How dare Grayfia take what was hers? How dare she think she could lie in bed with *her* Lord?
But then, Albedo hesitated. She wasn't a fool. She knew that Alex's attention was not something she could demand, no matter how much she wanted to. He was free to be with whomever he chose, and she had to respect his decisions. Yet, knowing this didn't stop the rage and jealousy burning inside her. It didn't stop the possessive part of her from wanting to drag Grayfia away from him.
She swallowed hard, forcing herself to step back from the door. Her mind raced with conflicting emotions—anger, hurt, jealousy—but also a cold, calculated determination. Albedo knew she couldn't act out of impulse, not now. If she wanted to stay by Alex's side, if she wanted to keep his favor, she had to be patient, to play the long game. She couldn't afford to make a scene here, not in front of him.
Albedo took a deep breath, calming herself as best she could. She would bide her time. She would wait until she had an opportunity to assert herself once again, to remind Alex that *she* was the one who loved him the most, the one who would do anything for him. Grayfia might have him now, but Albedo wasn't about to let anyone steal him away from her.
With one last glance into the room, she silently closed the door and walked away, her mind already plotting her next move.
Grayfia might have Alex's attention for now, but Albedo knew that in the end, it would be her standing by his side. She would make sure of it.
And Just as she was about to leave a voice called her out.
"Albedo, is that you." It was her Lord's voice.
