As Death's voice faded from my mind, an unexpected hiss caught my attention. Nezuko had broken free from her wooden box and now stood protectively in front of Tanjiro, her eyes narrowed as she regarded me with something close to primal fear. I caught my breath. No way... did she sense Death from me?
Her fierce stance toward me was unexpected but fascinating.
Nezuko is a young girl with fair skin, visibly large, prominent fangs, a slender build, and sharp, stiletto nails with a base color of light pink and ombre fading to a red-pinkish color at the end where they point.
Her hair is long, black, and wavy. It reaches just below her waist, turning a flame-orange color as it passes her elbows, and appears to be crimped into large, straight ridges, worn side-swept drastically to her left.
She has soft-looking, pale pink eyes that appear a lighter color around the rims of their irises and on the center a persian pink below the pupils; they slanted downwards toward the sides of her face and framed by notably long eyelashes.

And Giyu saw her reaction too. His gaze hardened as he immediately recognised Nezuko as a demon. Without hesitation, he sprang forward, his sword flashing as he aimed a killing blow at her.
Tanjiro's voice rang out, desperate and pleading. "No! Giyu-san, stop!"
But Giyu's movements were swift and precise, driven by years of disciplined training. He wouldn't halt at Tanjiro's words alone. Nezuko herself braced, ready to protect her brother with all the strength she had, though it was clear she was at a disadvantage.
In the split second before Giyu's sword could make contact, I moved, stepping in and intercepting the blow with my own arm. The force of the attack reverberated up my forearm, but I held steady, feeling the cold steel press against my skin.
Giyu's eyes widened slightly, taken aback by my interference. "You would defend a demon?"
"She's no ordinary demon. I think you know that, Just try to remember it." I said.
Giyu's gaze flickered with a hint of recognition, and his grip on the sword loosened slightly. "I remember... from the snowy mountain," he murmured, recalling the fateful night when he had first encountered Tanjiro and Nezuko.
But just as his memory softened his stance, another presence made itself known. Shinobu landed gracefully a short distance away, her keen gaze taking in the scene with an almost detached curiosity. She quickly assessed the situation, her attention zeroing in on Nezuko and Yuki.
Shinobu is a petite young woman with a slender and short build and a fairly pale complexion. She has large eyes that lack pupils, only a haze of gradient purple, making her eyes appear similar to those of insects.
She has very short raven-black wavy hair that fades into dark purple at the ends, styled at the back of her head into a flat yakai-maki bun, fastened with a white, turquoise and light purple butterfly ornament.
She has center-split, ear-length, voluminous curtain bangs that flow down to frame the sides of her face, with two slightly thinner chin-length locks of hair in front of her ears below them.

Shinobu's sharp gaze flicked between Nezuko and Yuki, her usual lighthearted demeanor tempered by a suspicious edge. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she studied Nezuko, a demon so visibly standing with humans.
"Oh my, it seems we have not one, but two demons here?" she remarked, her tone carrying a playful, dangerous undertone. Her hand drifted to her blade, ready, but she looked at Giyu with a small, questioning smile. "Didn't expect you to be so welcoming, Giyu."
Giyu shifted uncomfortably, still processing the strange alliance before him. He looked at Shinobu. "It's not as simple as that, Shinobu. This one..." he glanced at Nezuko and then at Yuki, "...they're different."
Shinobu's smile widened, but her eyes remained sharp. "Different? Well, they certainly don't appear harmless. If anything, that one"—she gestured to Yuki—"seems like she was a demon up until... recently?"
I stepped forward, sensing the tension rising. "You're right, Shinobu, Yuki was under Muzanette's control until recently. I released her from that, and she has the choice now to live peacefully, without harming others."
Shinobu tilted her head slightly, interest gleaming in her eyes as she processed the words. "Released her? You must have quite the gift, to claim such a feat. But promises from demons are seldom trustworthy... or lasting," she said, her gaze now locked on Yuki.
"Both of you, run. I will hold her off." Giyu suddenly.
"Are you talking to me?" I said with surprise. Didn't he just see how easily I blocked his attack just now?
