In the world of Demon Slayer, there were two essential techniques I needed to master if I wanted to elevate my power further. The first was the Breathing Techniques—the foundation of the Demon Slayer Corps’ strength.

The second was the Transparent World, an advanced ability that provided unparalleled insight into combat. These two techniques could push my already formidable abilities to heights beyond my imagination.

However, learning them presented a unique challenge. Unlike the members of the Corps, I wasn’t a part of their organization. More importantly, I wasn’t even human. That alone would be enough for most, if not all, of the retired Hashira to refuse to teach me. Their techniques were honed to combat demons, and trusting someone like me with their secrets would likely seem unthinkable.

Of course, there was a shortcut I could take. I could summon Demiurge, my most brilliant subordinate, to this world. If anyone could analyze the Breathing techniques and replicate them, it was him.

He had done it before. Back in the world of High School DxD, when I sought to understand Sacred Gears, Demiurge had singlehandedly orchestrated a campaign to dissect their mysteries. It was efficient, brutally so, and he had delivered exactly what I asked for.

But that method came with consequences.

Demiurge’s approach was always ruthless, and there was no doubt he would take the same path here. To study the Breathing Techniques, he would target the Demon Slayer Corps. Perhaps he would abduct members to study their breathing patterns or orchestrate situations to test their abilities under pressure.

While it would yield results, it would also make the Corps view us as enemies. The very people I intended to align with—Shinobu and Mitsuri—would see me as a threat. The trust I was slowly building with them would crumble instantly.

I couldn’t allow that to happen.

That left me with limited options. If I wanted to learn the Breathing Techniques without jeopardizing my standing, I would have to find another way. Perhaps there were unorthodox methods—ways to observe and mimic the techniques without directly involving the Demon Slayer Corps.

Perhaps there were unorthodox methods available. Observing battles in real time could give me the insight I needed. My natural abilities—sharpened senses, combat intuition, and a deep understanding of martial arts—were all tools I could rely on.

If I could watch the Hashira or other skilled Demon Slayers use their Breathing Techniques, I might be able to reverse-engineer the basics and adapt them to my own style.

Then again, there was another option.

I could just ask Shinobu or Mitsuri directly—after, of course, we became closer. Building a solid relationship with them wasn’t just for strategic purposes; I genuinely wanted to know them better.

If things progressed as I hoped, one of them might be willing to share the secrets of their techniques. It wouldn’t be immediate, but patience was something I had in abundance.

The real challenge, however, lay with the Transparent World. That was an ability so advanced that only a handful of warriors in this world had ever achieved it. It was tied to an extreme level of awareness, requiring an almost meditative connection between the mind, body, and environment.

Yet, I had someone in mind for this—someone who had come tantalizingly close to mastering the Transparent World: Akaza.

Yes, you heard that right. I was planning to make Akaza teach me the Transparent World.

It wasn’t an idea born of recklessness. Akaza was a demon, one of Muzanette’s most powerful and loyal Upper Moons, but he was also a warrior to the core. His fascination with strength, his drive to find worthy opponents, and his deep-seated respect for martial combat made him unique among demons. Akaza valued power and mastery above all else, and if approached correctly, I could turn that to my advantage.

I wasn’t delusional about the risks. Akaza wasn’t exactly known for his willingness to chat over tea, and there was every chance he would attack me on sight. But I wasn’t like the humans he faced; I was someone who could match him in power, perhaps even surpass him. That alone might pique his interest.

If I could demonstrate my strength and engage him on a level he respected, I might be able to strike a deal. Akaza’s obsession with the Transparent World wasn’t just a passing interest; it was something he had pursued relentlessly, inching closer to perfection with every battle. He wouldn’t ignore the opportunity to share his insights with someone he considered a worthy rival—or, in my case, a potential ally.

The thought of convincing him was thrilling in its own way. Akaza wasn’t just a demon; he was a complex character driven by a mixture of pride, tragedy, and an unyielding code of honour. Understanding him would be as much of a challenge as learning from him. But if I succeeded, the rewards would be immense.

For now, these were just ideas—possibilities to explore as I navigated this world.

But currently, there is a more important matter to attend to, which is to open a permeant portal to Nazarick. I have no doubt Albedo is waiting for me.
