When things couldn’t be reasoned with, Nora always favored solving them violently. However, she now needed Pedro Langley to meet Antonio Easton with all his limbs intact, clearly ruling out that option.

With a sly grin, Pedro didn’t persist in playing rogue and released her hand.
Nora withdrew her hand.
His warmth lingered on her skin, exposed to the chilly air. She thought to herself and simply shoved her hand into her pocket.
Looking at Pedro again, he had already adjusted his posture and continued watching the play.

Nora scoffed, slightly raised her head, and finally turned her attention to the stage.
Previously, to hone her acting skills, Nora frequently visited theatres. However, no one dared to cast her, leaving her to study and observe from the audience. After years, her acting skills hadn’t improved much, but she was well-versed in the plots of popular plays.
This was a classic play, even though Nora had seen it many times, and the plot was overly familiar. So watching it halfway through didn’t hinder her from quickly immersing in the story and being a proper audience.
The whole play lasted two hours.
Nora and Pedro didn’t speak again.
At nine o’clock sharp, the play ended, and the audience gradually left.

Reading through the messages, Pedro felt a shadow cast over him, instinctively pressing the lock screen button, causing the screen to go black.
A light laugh drifted from above, followed by Nora’s intentional inquiry, "A classmate?"
She only saw the note, not the chat content.
Pedro stood up, towering over Nora by more than half a head, lowered his gaze, and said to her, "My mom."
"Chatting with your mom, what’s there to be guilty about?" Nora raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical of his words.
"She thinks you’re interested in me and asked a couple of questions. Afraid you’d feel awkward seeing it."
Pedro skirted around the main topic with ease.
"...What?" Nora was momentarily stunned.
The information was insufficient for her to fully grasp Pedro’s meaning.
Pedro glanced at the empty stage and said directly, "She was just on stage."
"Not much screen time, but during the few minutes when you arrived, she happened to be there."

Nora stared at him coldly, her voice icy, "You did it on purpose, didn’t you?"
Pedro chuckled, "Can I really orchestrate your willingness?"
The urge to give him a good beating stirred once more.
Pedro asked, "Do you want to finish discussing things here?"
The audience in the hall had dwindled, leaving only a few scattered people.
Surveying the area, Nora raised an eyebrow and asked, "Where’s your mom?"
"To give us some privacy, she drove off first." Pedro paused, then pretended to reach for his phone, "Or do you want to meet her? I can call and ask her to come back."
Honestly, this guy is really asking for a beating.
Nora, irritated by him, said, "If you keep jabbering, while your mom’s away, I’ll leave you dead in the wilderness tonight."
Pedro turned slightly, his brows teasingly, and leaned down to ask, "How would you like me to cooperate?"
