"Ernesto Scott wants Aaron Scott to recognize you at the birthday banquet, openly announcing your identity, do you know that?"
"I’ve heard a little."
Ernesto didn’t explicitly tell her about this.
However, from the few words Ethan mentioned, Nora guessed a bit.
In the high-class circle, it’s well-known that Ernesto Scott has a son and a daughter, his son Oliver Scott, and his daughter Sophie Scott. Now, Ernesto has brought Nora into the family, and without a proper title, it’s prone to gossip. Only by announcing Nora’s identity at a grand event can she be rightfully recognized.
And Aaron Scott’s birthday banquet is a perfect opportunity for it.
Firstly, most of the families in the circle will be present;
Secondly, announcing at the banquet means that Nora is accepted by the Scott family.
Nora initially agreed to return to the Scott family to investigate the matters concerning Evelyn Easton, Antonio Easton, and Aaron Scott from back then, and wasn’t particularly concerned about being "rightfully recognized."
However, Nora was not entirely opposed either—this was also a good opportunity to engage with the Scott family.
Yet, given Aaron’s situation, it wasn’t certain if he would agree.
"Aaron agreed," Pedro Langley said.
Nora was a bit surprised.
From what she knew, Aaron should dislike him and not agree so readily.
"The Scott family business hasn’t been doing well these two years, but your dad is quite successful," Pedro subtly hinted.
Nora immediately understood.
You could say that Ernesto Scott’s years of hardship starting a business outside didn’t go in vain. From having no voice in the Scott family to now even Old Master Scott relying on him, it’s a kind of payoff.
The door to the living room was suddenly pushed open, and a cold breeze rushed in.
Marcus Shaw stood at the entrance, glanced over, and casually asked, "Someone delivered a case of beer, did you order it?"
Nora responded and said, "Bring it in."
Marcus turned and walked out the door.
Just then, Nora heard Pedro’s deep, dangerous voice in her earpiece, "Nora, are you planning to drink?"
"A little drink for enjoyment."
"You haven’t even enjoyed it yet and you’re down?" Pedro sarcastically remarked.
Nora frowned and asked back, "Do you know how to talk?"
Pedro briefly replied, "No."
"I’m not drinking with you anyway."
After a pause, Pedro said, "When’s dinner, I’ll drop by."
Is her house a free restaurant?
After hanging up on Pedro, when Nora returned to her game, it had already been disconnected.
She didn’t care as Marcus brought the beer inside, and Nora waved him over.
Nora tossed an orange in her hand and asked, "Do you know how to drink?"
Marcus frowned and said coldly, "I’m underage."
Looking him over, Nora didn’t say anything else, just asked again, "Do you know how to drink?"
Nora lifted her chin and glanced outside, giving the order, "Take down Michael Quinn tonight."

The food was soon served on the table, and Pedro didn’t make it on time for the meal, but Nora didn’t particularly wait for him, just told the housekeeper to set aside a portion of the meal.
"What’s the occasion today?"
Michael was startled by the line of beers when he came to the table.
"He’s drinking," Nora calmly pointed at Marcus and said, "You join him."
"Whoa!" Michael was shocked, scrutinizing the expressionless Marcus and tentatively asked, "Not of age, right?"
Marcus didn’t speak, grabbed a bottle of beer that had been chilled by the air outside, and easily twisted the cap off with two fingers.
He pushed the beer bottle towards Michael.
Marcus said coldly, "Chug it from the bottle."
Seeing that familiar technique of prying the cap, and that confident tone as if he would definitely lay you out...
Michael’s eyelid twitched, and he was intimidated by his aura for three seconds before an ominous feeling arose within him.
Scanning the room, Michael became alert, pursed his lips, and sat down, secretly taking out his phone.
"This," Michael scratched his nose awkwardly and smiled, "Little bro, you’re playing big, aren’t you?"
Nora leisurely picked up a bottle of beer and, like Marcus, used two fingers to flick the cap off with ease.
As if it didn’t take any effort at all.
Laura Collins watched, itching to try, but having failed with scraped fingers before, she knew it required talent and skill, so she gave up.
"You’re joining too?" Michael looked at Nora in surprise.
"I’m just having a casual drink."
Michael’s words were cut off.
Because Nora smiled at him, and within that seemingly friendly and beautiful smile, there was no doubt the message was clear—either drink or die.
Michael somewhat regretted agreeing without hesitation to stay for dinner.
