"So worried about me?"
The sudden voice immediately drew Nora Scott’s attention over.
Pedro Langley leaned against the wall, dressed in black clothes and pants, one hand in his pocket, playing with his powered-off phone with the other hand. He turned his head to look over, his eyes were as dark as ink, with a smile gracing his clear, handsome features and slightly upturned lips, seemingly in a very good mood.
Nora narrowed her eyes dangerously and walked towards him, "Lost your way?"
Pedro remained as shameless as ever.
Nora lightly ground her teeth, amused by him, "Can you spare a little dignity?"
"Nope." Standing upright, Pedro tilted his head and raised his brows, "Care to walk?"
Nora paused and responded indifferently.
His gaze fell on her, Pedro saw snowflakes swirling and falling on her hair, beside her ears, her neck, and shoulders, some melting instantly, while others lingered. The snow added accents to her already exquisite beauty, making her exceedingly eye-catching.
Without moving, Pedro reached out and grabbed his scarf.
The black-and-white scarf was wide and thick, and after taking it off, he stepped forward to Nora and put it around her neck.
Nora was slightly stunned.
His fingers brushed the skin on the back of her neck, slightly cool, sparking a shiver.
The scarf wrapped in circles, concealing her exposed neck and slightly covering her chin and ears. After tidying it, his hand reached to the back of her head, tracing the skin just above the hair roots to lift the strands pressed under the scarf.
Her dark hair flew up, and then slowly fell back down.
Looking at Nora with satisfaction, Pedro smirked and said, "All set."
Nora didn’t say anything, quietly looking at him for two seconds, then reached out her hand to him.
Watching her with smiling eyes, Pedro feigned ignorance and naturally placed his hand on hers, grabbing hold of it.
Nora instinctively tried to withdraw, but Pedro immediately tightened his grip, preventing her from easily pulling away.
Nora said speechlessly, "Hand warmer."
Out of habit, since Pedro always carried hand warmers, Nora didn’t think much of it and, as usual, asked him for one when going out.
Who knew this rascal actually dared to be shameless...
Slanting his eyes to look at her, Pedro calmly spat out two words, "Didn’t bring."
Nora frowned slightly, giving him a warning glare.
Pedro said righteously, "I don’t mind sacrificing myself a bit."
Seeing his hand exposed to the air, Nora couldn’t help but laugh, "Are you stupid?"
In such cold weather, still wanting to hold hands outside?
Pedro naturally tucked their intertwined hands into his pocket, calmly saying, "Now it’s not stupid."

Nora was floored by his utter shamelessness.
"It’s New Year’s, don’t dwell on it." Pedro kindly comforted, holding her hand without letting go, "Let’s go."
Nora followed next to him gloomily, seriously asking, "Is it still timely if I beat you now?"
Pedro answered earnestly, "Once character’s set, hitting won’t teach much."
Nora was surprised, "You actually understand?"
"Us shameless folks, we all get it." Pedro answered unhurriedly.
Pedro successfully choked up Nora with his self-deprecating tactic.
Nora pondered for a while but couldn’t find a way to counter his ruthless move.
In the alley, where families were reunited, it was late at night, and no one was wandering outside. Walking along the road, a thin layer of snow covered the ground, and there wasn’t a single person encountered.
Nora self-hypnotized: Since no one witnessed it, it meant it didn’t happen; since it didn’t happen, Pedro wouldn’t end up dead in the street.
After some self-hypnosis, she felt at ease.
Holding hands... it’s not like she hadn’t done it before.
Deciding to accept it, Nora walked side by side with him and actively initiated the conversation, "Weren’t you at home? Why did you come over?"
Pedro looked at her with deep meaning and said, "Someone didn’t respond to my message, I was worried something happened to her."
Somewhat surprised, Nora explained, "Went for hotpot."
Pedro suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Just as Nora was puzzled, Pedro turned and leaned in, his nose brushing through her hair, lightly sniffing a few times.
Then, pulling back, he slightly squinted as if certain, agreeing, "Yeah, today you’re not celestial, it’s the worldly smell of hotpot."
Nora was stunned by his move, unable to utter a word.
When this man isn’t being sarcastic, he’s truly... truly...
Grinding her teeth, Nora found herself at a loss, unable to find the right words to describe him.
