“What does your boss want with me?” she asked nonchalantly, looking around, hoping to leave the area.
Since she couldn’t be sure if the person in front of her was a friend or foe, she had to remain vigilant.
“Don’t worry, our boss just wants to talk to you about some things, he’s not a bad person!” the bodyguard tried to offer a friendly expression as he looked at Su Zhiruan.
When sent by Madam Xie’s second uncle, the bodyguards were somewhat taken aback, as it seemed odd for them to ask a young lady to follow them. “Miss Su, I’d advise you to come with us willingly; otherwise, we’re not sure what we might do, and then we’d have to take you by force!” The last bodyguard spoke up after his two companions had spoken, his face stern as he said this.
Immediately upon his words, he received angry glares from his two older brothers.
Seeing the exchange of expressions among the three men, Su Zhiruan made a decision, “I’ll go with you.”
The bodyguards were first astonished.
Then their faces lit up with joy as they quickly opened the car door, respectfully ushering Su Zhiruan inside.
