If Shi Beiyu had remained silent, then the Old Master at the other end of the phone would not be fuming!
“B*stard! If I don’t see you in half an hour, I’ll kidnap the girl from the Mu family!”
The Old Master did not give Shi Beiyu an opportunity to reply and hung up the phone.
Shi Beiyu was enraged too. He lifted his hands and furiously slammed them against the steering wheel.
The Old Master was a vicious man. He was the kind of person that must have the final say in everything.
He would never stop until he achieved his aims.
Shi Beiyu walked into the Shi family manor gloomily. As he made his way into the building, he saw the Old Master and Mother Shi sitting in the luxurious living room. The atmosphere was very dreary.
Seeing Shi Beiyu’s arrival, the grey-haired Old Master glared at the former with his old yet sharp eyes. He said coldly, “What an outstanding person you are.”
Shi Beiyu jeered when he heard this. “Your grandson has always been an outstanding person.”
“B*stard! Don’t you know your place? Why must you fool around with that woman’s younger sister?”
Shi Beiyu took a few deep breaths and looked at Old Master Shi and Mother Shi, who sat next to the old man with a glum look on her face. He announced, “I’ll clarify things to you right now. I’m genuine towards Mu Siyin. We’re not fooling around.”
Old Master Shi froze.
“Not fooling around? Shi Beiyu! Don’t tell me that you’re planning to marry that woman!”
“Yes.”
“Ridiculous!” the Old Master bellowed.
Mother Shi could not help but look up at Shi Beiyu. “That little vixen has clouded your judgment, Ah Yu!”
A wave of determination washed over Shi Beiyu’s face. “My mind is pretty clear now. Since you called me over today, I might as well tell you straight in the face. My feelings towards Mu Siyin are real. Don’t you dare come in between us, or even… mess with her!”
“You’re crazy! Her shameless sister ruined our family! I’ll never agree to your relationship with her!”
Mother Shi screamed with agitation and hatred. Upon saying so, her chest started to heave abnormally as her face turned pale.
She raised a hand and pressed them against her chest. It looked as if she was trying to pacify her anger, but it did not seem to work.
The fury in her heart was in flames. How she wished she could demolish everything in front of her eyes!
Seeing this, Old Master Shi looked at the only butler next to him and ordered, “Bring Zhijun’s asthma medicine here!”
Mother Shi had been suffering from asthma for more than ten years, and it has been a few years since she had her last attack. However, she has already had three asthma attacks since yesterday night.
It was obvious how deep-seated her anger and hatred were.
They had already grown from a seed into a towering tree that reached the sky.
Shi Beiyu frowned and paced forward quickly when he saw this. He immediately raised his hand as he leaned Mother Shi against the sofa. He said quietly, “Haven’t you recovered? When did you start having asthma attacks again?”
Old Master Shi snorted before roaring, “It’s all because of you! She already had two episodes last night! Something serious will definitely happen if this goes on!”
Shi Beiyu’s gaze darkened as he lifted his hands to rub Mother Shi’s back.
“The medicine is here, Young Master!”
With a glass of water in one hand and the medicine in another, the butler raced over at the speed of lightning.
Shi Beiyu took over the items and fed them to Mother Shi. After taking the pills, Mother Shi shut her eyes and sunk into the sofa. She let out a long sigh. “Let it be serious then. It’s even better if it’s incurable! I’m just creating trouble by staying alive!”
Shi Beiyu knitted his sharp browns in silence. The Old Master said with a frown, “What nonsense are you blabbering about?”
