The female designer in her early thirties, who was standing in the middle, frowned. “We did communicate with them. Everything was done following Mrs. Laura’s request.”
The two other designers, too, spoke up. “That’s right. They said Mrs. Laura likes elegant and noble works. So, we came up with these three necklaces designs and even consulted the person in charge. They said the designs were acceptable.”
Seeing the designers talk back to her, the fury in Director Wang burned even more. “What’s the f*cking use if they’re the ones who accepted the designs? These necklaces were requested by Mrs. Laura. She has the final say whether the designs are acceptable or not.
“Now that your design is far from what she wants, I think she’s looking to cancel the contract!
“It’s hard to come across such a big customer. If we were to lose this business, which of you would bear the consequences?”
The person in the middle was the chief designer of the jewelry design department. She was already unhappy with Director Wang for reprimanding her in front of her colleagues. Hence, when she heard Director Wang shifting all the blame onto them, she frowned and said, “We also sought your opinion before we published the draft. You said that the designs were okay too.”
Director Wang’s face instantly froze. She paused for a while before she uttered, “Are you trying to blame me?”
“I didn’t mean that.”
“Then what do you mean?!”
Mu Siyin felt helpless as she watched them. The chief designer had long been dissatisfied with that Old Hag Wang and wanted to replace her. Now that Old Hag Wang was reprimanding her, she must feel even more dissatisfied.
“Since Mrs. Laura is dissatisfied, we can modify it again. Do you have to act this way?”
Director Wang sneered. “You guys have made a problem with an order worth several hundred million. Can’t you take it if I say a few words about you?!”
Seeing that the two with the highest authority in office were about to quarrel, everyone lowered their heads and did not dare to say a word, for fear of getting in trouble.
Nevertheless, Mu Siyin sighed. “Since there’s a problem, you should find a way to resolve it as soon as possible. How will quarreling help?”
It would be fine if she did not say a word. However, her words made Director Wang and the chief designer both turn and look at her.
“What do you know?!”
Both of them were in sync to say the exact same words.
Helpless, Mu Siyin could only shake her head. “Alright, I know nothing. Pretend I didn’t say anything.”
The chief designer snorted and turned her head around.
Everyone knew that there was someone backing Mu Siyin, so it was best not to offend her.
Director Wang was already feeling oppressed from dealing with the chief designer, and on top of Mu Siyin’s criticism, her blood boiled even more!
“Do you think you’re very capable?” Director Wang said as she walked towards Mu Siyin.
Mu Siyin raised her eyebrows. “No, I just don’t think it is appropriate for you to quarrel in front of everyone.”
Director Wang sneered. “Haven’t you always complained that I don’t arrange important work for you? Well then, I will hand over Mrs. Laura’s order for you to handle. How about that?”
As soon as she said that, the whole office went into an uproar!
Everyone wondered if Director Wang was so angry that she had lost her mind. How could she hand over an order that was worth hundreds of millions to Mu Siyin, who was just a graduate?
Mu Siyin raised her eyebrows in surprise. She was very excited.
“For me to handle it?!”
Director Wang nodded. “That’s right.”
“Are you not worried?”
“I think you’re a genius.”
At that, the people in the office burst out laughing.
To belittle someone in such a way was really on a whole other level.
Mu Siyin laughed as well. “What if I mess up?”
