Mu Siyin left the villa in a daze and with a heavy feeling in her chest.
Although she and Shi Beiyu had a marriage certificate, they still had a lot of obstacles to face.
When she arrived at the company, she ran into Mi Qian while waiting for the elevator.

Just as Mi Qian wanted to reply, the elevator arrived. She sneered and stepped into the elevator first.
Throughout the elevator ride, Mu Qian wanted to say something to Mu Siyin but hesitated as they were not alone.
Once they came out of the elevator, Mi Qian said to Mu Siyin, “If you can’t come up with anything, I think you should surrender yourself to the director. She might show you mercy and let you stay.”
Mu Siyin frowned and said to Mi Qian in surprise, “Chief Mi, your designs are not bad, but you’re… rather slow in the head.”
Mi Qian, who was initially pleased with herself, did not expect Mu Siyin to belittle her instead. Hence, she rose to anger. “Mu Siyin! I was just being considerate for your sake. How can you be so ungrateful?”
Mu Siyin snorted. “Thank you for your kindness, but I don’t need it.”
After that, she walked away.

Mu Siyin was getting seated at her desk after punching in when Director Wang walked over with her voluptuous figure.

Director Wang snickered. “The deadline with Mrs. Laura was supposed to be in ten days, but she called me yesterday to ask if there is any progress in the design. I told her that there is, just to avoid any disappointment. You’d better come out with something before you get off work today!”
Director Wang did not make this up. Mrs. Laura did call yesterday.
Mu Siyin was a little suspicious, but she decided not to say it out loud. Instead, she smiled at Director Wang and said, “Alright, I will get the design done by today. However, can you give me Mrs. Laura’s contact?”
Director Wang frowned. “You are just a designer. Why do you want Mrs. Laura’s contact?”
Mu Siyin blinked in response. “I just… want to ask her a few questions.”
Director Wang sneered. “She is one of our biggest clients. How can you approach her directly for some trivial questions? Come to me if you have anything to ask.”
Mu Siyin laughed helplessly. “Can I at least have her assistant’s contact? Director Wang, I really need to ask her a few questions regarding the design.”
