Upon hearing that, Mu Heyuan’s face became solemn. “But Mu Siyin doesn’t listen to a single word we say!”
Old Madam snorted. “Her attitude was much more unyielding than before, but she doesn’t have the final say for everything.”
Mu Heyuan squinted his eyes and nodded slightly. “You’re the wisest, mom.”
After Shi Beiyu went upstairs, he followed the direction Mu Siyin told him and found her room.
The door was closed.
He stepped forward and grabbed onto the doorknob before he twisted it lightly to open the door.
The deco was feminine in taste. It was not too big yet warm and tidy.
Shi Beiyu went inside while Yan Ze stood guard outside the door. As he scanned the room that Mu Siyin grew up in, his thin lips slightly lifted into a smile.
Those who fell in love would have butterflies in their stomach even without seeing them in person.

He came to the bed and could not help but smile wider as he looked at the pictures of Mu Siyin on the wall.
Mu Siyin’s handbag and phone were left next to the cabinet.
He picked up the phone and put it into the handbag before zipping it. Then, he carried it and walked towards the bathroom.
Mu Siyin mentioned that she had left the string of blood jade beads on the bathroom’s glazed vanity table and it could be seen once he entered the bathroom.
Shi Beiyu raised his hand and pushed the door open. He lifted his gaze right at the glazed vanity table, but he did not see the string of blood jade beads.
He knitted his brows slightly and strode forward. He searched around thoroughly but the string of beads was nowhere to be seen.
He stood rooted on the ground and slightly squinted his eyes. His gaze was instructable.
‘Not to mention the mysticality of the beads, blood jades are a rarity. It is possible that someone came in and stole it while Mu Siyin is not around.

The maids?

She simply left this precious thing at the glazed vanity table. I was afraid that the maids would try to steal it, so I kept it for her.
Since you’re here, might as well bring it to her.”
Old Madam was so sincere as if she was really worried the Mu Siyin would lose the beads.

Shi Beiyu briefly acknowledge her and asked, “Aren’t you worried at all when you found out that she is missing?”
Old Madam tried to remain calm and sighed softly before she replied. “How are we not worried? We were discussing whether to call the police to look for her when you coincidentally showed up.”
