Huo Sikai flew into a rage when he saw this.
“What kind of style is that? The candles are already in the center. Why would you put the flowers there too?”
Shi Ran lifted his hand to push his hair out of his eyes and replied casually, “Because it looks better there!”
Huo Sikai grew impatient. “I shouldn’t have brought you here tonight!”
Shiran grunted. “I was the one who told you that my brother went to pick up my little sister-in-law after he got off work.”
Mu Siyin was standing nearby when she heard this. The corner of her mouth twitched as she processed what she had just learned. Little sister-in-law?
Huo Sikai stomped his feet angrily when he knew there was nothing he could do about Shiran. Just as he was about to speak up, something caught his eye. That was when he saw Shi Beiyu and Mu Siyin standing by the stairs.
In a split second, the fury in Huo Sikai’s heart died out as his eyes widened at the sight of Mu Siyin. He stared at her and paced towards her curiously.
“So, this is your new girlfriend, Beibei!”
Mu Siyin pursued her lips and was completely speechless as Huo Sikai circled around her.
She was right when she said that his friends were weird.
Standing next to the dining table, Shi Ran could not care less about the vase placement anymore. He quickly strode over and looked at Mu Siyin before he said politely, “Hello, sister-in-law. I’m Shi Ran.”
Mu Siyin was at a loss for words. She was obviously younger than him, so why was he calling her sister-in-law?
“Hello.”
Seeing this, Huo Sikai immediately said, “I heard that your name is Siyin. Can I call you that? How old are you this year, little Siyin?”
Mu Siyin looked back at a curious-faced Huo Sikai and was about to reply when Shi Beiyu interrupted, “None of your business.”

Mu Siyin did not know whether to cry or to laugh. After all, he was calling Shi Beiyu old either way.
Shi Ran then stood up for Shi Beiyu. “My sister-in-law’s age has nothing to do with you, Doctor Huo. Their age gap is none of your concern. Why are you making such a fuss over it?”
“Hey! I was just asking for fun. Why are both of you so triggered?”
Mu Siyin knew that Huo Sikai and Shi Ran were like sworn enemies. They just had to roast each other no matter where they were just to feel good.
“Guys… Stop arguing. Honestly, I don’t think he’s that old. Besides, uncles are my type!”
Shi Beiyu’s heart could not help but swell at Mu Siyin’s words. However, his face darkened instantly when he heard her call him an ‘Uncle’.
She should call him her big brother, not her uncle!
Upon hearing this, Huo Sikai burst out in fits of laughter. “Uncles are your type? What a nice way to label your boyfriend, little Siyin. Is this the living definition of robbing the cradle?”
Shi Beiyu wanted to kick Huo Sikai out of his house the moment Huo Sikai said that.
“Do you want me to send you off now, Doctor Huo?”
