Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother Chapter 267

"Boss, I’d like two meat buns, two red bean buns, and a cup of soy milk," An Yin said, gazing at the steaming basket.

"Okay, please wait a moment." The boss, who looked to be in his fifties or sixties, quickly packed the order, "Twelve yuan."

"Thank you." An Yin casually took the food and paid by scanning the code.

She turned around to go to her suitcase, and as she got closer, she noticed a tall man standing behind it.

An Yin gently stepped forward, standing in front of her suitcase. Fearing the man behind might misunderstand, she specifically emphasized, "This is my suitcase, I’m not cutting in line."

There was a hint of timidity in her voice, and her bright eyes were particularly striking as she spoke.

"Hmm." The man lightly replied, his gaze brushed over the young girl’s face, seeing that she too was wearing a mask, and then retracted his gaze.

An Yin returned to her position, moving her suitcase aside. As the line gradually decreased, she dragged her suitcase forward slowly. She counted and saw there were more than ten people still buying tickets ahead of her. Taking advantage of this time, she began eating her breakfast.

An Yin removed her mask, lowered her head, and took small bites of her breakfast.

The hall was noisy with a cacophony of voices, making it particularly loud.

Meng Heming stood straight, wearing a black mask that concealed his handsome features.

The faint aroma of meat drifted past his nose. His cold gaze landed on the young girl ahead, who was lowering her head. Associating this with the breakfast she had earlier, he deduced that she was eating something.

The air conditioning was on indoors, and after staying for a while, it just felt stuffy.

He was wearing a black coat, which accentuated his sharp and neat lines. Although he stood quietly, he exuded an aura of noble aloofness that inadvertently drew the passing crowd to take a few more glances at him.

As it was nearly her turn, An Yin quickly swallowed a few gulps of soy milk and finally finished her meal.

Tossing the plastic bag into the trash bin, it came to her turn. An Yin took out her ID card and stated the name of her destination.

After buying the ticket, she dragged her luggage to enter the station and board the train.

Amidst the crisp sound of the ticket seller’s voice, Meng Heming stepped forward in his custom-made leather shoes.

"Which ticket do you want to buy?" The ticket seller cast an inquiring glance at him.

"The same as the young lady just now." Meng Heming’s voice was clear and deep.

The ticket seller was taken aback, seeing that the man appeared elegant and dignified, wondering if he might be a stalker, "Please state the name of the place."

Meng Heming indeed reported the same destination as An Yin.

The two had not been far apart just now, and the girl’s soft voice had drifted word for word into his ears.

Meng Heming took it out, handing it to her.

Soon, he entered the station with his ticket.

After finding the train he was to board, he got inside and started looking for a seat.

The front was already full, so he had to walk toward the back. As he was reaching the end, he spotted an empty seat and sat down.

When he turned his head, he found the young girl from earlier sitting beside him.

Before he could take a closer look, his phone rang from his pocket. He took the call and placed it to his ear.

"Sir, are you out there alone again?" Uncle Ma’s tone carried a hint of anxiety.

"It’s fine." Meng Heming lowered his icy eyes.

"But your body hasn’t recovered, I worry..."

Uncle Ma hadn’t finished before his words were interrupted.

"I know my own body." Meng Heming replied, not hurried nor slow.

"But the doctor advised against long-distance travel recently."

Uncle Ma wanted to advise further, but the call was ruthlessly cut off.

Every year, Meng Heming would travel alone to a strange place, searching for someone without any interference. He was very clear about the slim chances of meeting the person, yet as long as there was even a sliver of possibility, he wouldn’t give up.

What if amidst the vast sea of people, he happened to encounter her?

At this moment, ticket inspection started on the train. An aunt came up to him, and Meng Heming raised his ticket.

An Yin was absorbed in her phone and didn’t notice the ticket inspector.

"Young lady, show your ticket." The aunt’s loud voice was heard throughout the car.

An Yin belatedly raised her head, and her cheeks instantly turned red.

"Here." She handed it over to the aunt.

After her ticket was checked, An Yin took it back and put it into her pocket.

The door opened, and the cold air rushed in, making the temperature inside very low. An Yin shivered slightly.

As she inadvertently looked up, she saw the man next to her.

The man who was behind her earlier?

When she looked up, Meng Heming met her straightforward gaze. The girl was wearing a pink mask, and her eyes, like autumn water, seemed to speak, lively and animated.

In a fleeting moment, a familiar feeling washed over him. Meng Heming stared at her blankly, his gaze distant, seemingly seeking something through her.

An Yin, sensing that the man was staring at her, quickly turned her head, becoming slightly uneasy.

"Sorry, did I scare you?" Meng Heming, with his keen insight, undoubtedly saw through the cautious look in the girl’s eyes, "I just felt your eyes resembled my beloved, so I looked a little longer." The source of thɪs content is 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅•𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝗇𝖾𝗍

As he spoke, his face showed an indescribable regret and sorrow.

After hearing his words, An Yin brushed off the strange feeling in her heart and meekly replied, "Oh."

An Yin cautiously glanced at the man, seeing that he had already sat upright and was gazing forward. She softly asked, "You and your beloved must be very happy."

An Yin said this because when he uttered the word "beloved" earlier, the love in his eyes was too evident to ignore.

Meng Heming turned his head again, unexpectedly meeting the young girl’s gaze. Not far apart, he saw the curiosity in her eyes, "I hope for your blessing, we will definitely be happy."

After hearing his words, An Yin couldn’t help but find it awkward, though she couldn’t quite pinpoint what felt off.

Soon, the train started moving.

An Yin took out her phone, opened WeChat, and entered the chat box with Ms. An.

An Yin: [Mom, I’m on the train now.]

After sending the message, she tucked her phone back into her pocket.

As the train moved steadily, An Yin gradually began to feel sleepy. Perhaps due to the cold, she fell asleep quickly once her head rested against the back of the seat.

Meng Heming habitually gazed out the window, yet the young girl was sitting by the window. As he glanced outside, the sight of her sleeping with her head tilted also fell into his view.

The young girl appeared well-behaved in her sleep, her forehead’s skin as bright as the snow, and her long eyelashes slightly trembling, perhaps due to a nightmare.

Most of her face was covered by the mask, but even so, it wasn’t hard to imagine she must be very pretty. After all, having the same captivating eyes as someone he knew, how could her looks fall short? Meng Heming lowered his gaze as a trace of loneliness flashed across his face.
