Shen Jingrou gently put down the chopsticks in her hand. From the moment she heard Lin Yue’s voice, she kept silent, trying to minimize her presence, never expecting the other’s words to be so unpleasant.

The atmosphere on site was extremely tense. Bao Shaojin looked at their irrational behavior and spoke up just in time, "Lin Yue!"

Watching Gu Qingyun’s hurried departure, Shen Jingrou thought of the young man’s current predicament, a trace of worry crossed her face.
"Miss him already after such a short while? Shen Jingrou, what’s your relationship with him?" Lin Yue fiddled with his chopsticks, showing no intention of eating.
"Do you think I’m like you, going into heat at the sight of the opposite sex?" Shen Jingrou, flustered, blurted out some harsh words.
"Don’t try to change the subject, honestly, what’s your relationship?" Lin Yue snapped the chopsticks in his hand, making a crisp sound.
Seeing the man’s intent to get to the bottom of it, Shen Jingrou turned slightly, looking at the man close by, "Why do you need to know our relationship?" She and Gu Qingyun had no relationship, but seeing the man’s aggressive attitude, a rebellious feeling rose within Shen Jingrou.
She just wouldn’t tell him!
An Yin stared in disbelief at the two in front, Jingrou had always been a gentle and charming woman in her eyes, yet she seemed like a different person when arguing with the man, whose graceful appearance belied the harshness of his words.
His tone sounded as if he suspected some improper relationship between Jingrou and Gu Qingyun.
The incessant noise in the ear made Bao Shaojin frown. He looked at the little girl next to him and asked, "Are you full?"
"Yes." An Yin nodded.
"Let’s go first." After saying that, he stood up. Seeing the little girl’s hesitant expression, he added, "Don’t worry about them."
"But, I’m afraid Jingrou might be bullied." An Yin raised her head and voiced her thoughts.
Lin Yue looked tall and strong; what if he started hitting if there was a disagreement? Jingrou certainly couldn’t stand up to him.
"Don’t worry, he won’t lay a hand on her." When Bao Shaojin said this, his eyes were full of confidence.
Even if Lin Yue hurt himself, he wouldn’t let Shen Jingrou get hurt.
"Really?" An Yin looked doubtful.
Seeing her question him, Bao Shaojin frowned and took the little girl’s slender wrist, guiding her out.
"Bao, Bao Shaojin, slow down!" An Yin, pulled by him, stumbled in her steps, closely following behind him.
Perhaps An Yin’s words worked, as he slowed his pace a bit when stepping out of the private room door. Then he looked at the attendant beside him, "Put it on my tab."
"Yes, Mr. Bao." The attendant bowed.
The bickering couple noticed the now-empty room and simultaneously shifted their gaze toward the vacant seats.
Lin Yue, dressed in a light gray suit, had unbuttoned the front due to the argument with Shen Jingrou, revealing the white shirt inside, accentuating his sharp shoulder lines, and exuding a roguish charm.
Shen Jingrou noticed the quiet surroundings too; even Gu Qingyun, who had gone out to take a call, was nowhere in sight.
Leaning back on the chair, Lin Yue, after calming down a bit, asked, "They left?"
"Mmm." Shen Jingrou gave the man a sidelong glance.
"Earlier, I seemed to see our elder brother holding the little girl’s hand and leaving?" Lin Yue squinted, placing one hand on his chin, musing.
Shen Jingrou didn’t bother with him; she wouldn’t tell him gossip about her elder brother and An Yin.
"He seemed to be watching her the whole time..."

As Lin Yue spoke, he suddenly turned, keenly observing the woman beside him. Seeing her calm demeanor, a bold idea emerged in Lin Yue’s mind, "You knew all along?"
Shen Jingrou, feeling guilty, turned her head, avoiding the man’s intense gaze.
"You and the little girl have a good relationship; knowing wouldn’t be strange." Lin Yue crossed his arms in a questioning tone, "You’re too much, keeping such a big gossip from me."
"Do you think everyone is as idle as you, always poking around for gossip?" Shen Jingrou retorted.
Lin Yue looked at her with a light, indifferent gaze.
If it were in the past, seeing the elder brother with such intimate actions with a woman would have excited him. However, the appearance of a young guy beside Shen Jingrou captured all his attention, making him lose his usual rationality.
Even now, he still wanted to know the relationship between her and the young guy.
Not hearing Lin Yue’s voice, Shen Jingrou was unsure about his thoughts and cautiously lifted her head, peeking at the direction where the man sat.
As their eyes met, she found his dark eyes directly on her face, as if trying to search for answers through her.
