"What?" Charlie River was momentarily stunned by his leap in thinking.
Once he realized Young Master was asking how long ago the little maniac had left, Charlie River immediately replied, "Young Master, it’s already been 15 minutes."
Thomas Shannon’s face was expressionless, the burning cigarette held between his fingertips searing his skin.
He paused for a moment before quickly discarding the cigarette butt.
Rising to his feet, his tall figure radiating a cold, murderous aura, he strode away.
"Young Master, where are you going?"
Following Thomas Shannon, Charlie River noticed he was heading out of the club, and his heart finally relaxed.
It seemed the little maniac wasn’t as special as he had thought. She had quickly fallen out of favor. Especially for a clueless woman who dared to challenge Young Master’s authority; it was even easier for someone like her to lose favor. Obviously, the little maniac was treading further and further down a path of no return.
As Thomas Shannon stepped into the elevator, the sound of frantic footsteps echoed from the corridor.
They were particularly clear in the quiet corridor.
He looked up to see the disheveled little maniac, her face smeared with fresh blood, blood still dripping from her hand.
As she walked, blood... dripped all the way, leaving a winding trail on the floor.
She staggered over, stepping into the elevator before Charlie River could.
Her body leaned heavily against the elevator wall, her chest heaving. Her voice was, as usual, hoarse and rough. "That pig is going to die soon. Call an ambulance; maybe they can still save him."
She lifted her head, her face pale but her gaze unusually fierce. "If he dies, I’ll say you ordered me to kill him."
Charlie River and all the men in black heard this threat.
Only the little maniac dared to make such a naked threat!
As Sophie Sullivan’s body slid down the elevator wall, the preceding fight had consumed all her strength.
She didn’t want to escape hell only to be imprisoned again. She had merely acted in self-defense; she hadn’t intended to kill anyone. So, she had to say something. Threatening Thomas Shannon wasn’t her intention, but she had no choice. Even though she knew... Thomas Shannon didn’t take threats lightly.
Thomas Shannon’s gaze was icy, so cold it was almost cruel.
Sophie Sullivan paused for a moment, then laughed, tilting her head up. "Young Master, although I requested this mission... that pig didn’t touch me. So, I’m still valuable."
He had once said that if she was touched by someone, she would be worthless. So, she could take it to mean that as long as she wasn’t touched by others, she still had value.
Soon, a commotion was heard from the corridor.
It was the manager, his voice tinged with panic as he ordered, "Call an ambulance quickly! Block all information! Not a word must get out, understand?"
"Yes!" The club’s security guards immediately began to seal off the floor.
Sophie’s anxious heart finally settled.
Exhausted, she leaned against the elevator wall, reached out, and tugged at Thomas Shannon’s trousers cuffs. "Thomas Shannon, let’s go back. I’m tired."
"I haven’t taken my medicine yet."
Sophie spoke, tugging twice more, a trace of annoyance in her voice, "Thomas Shannon, are you deaf?"
Charlie River scolded her coldly from the side, "Little maniac, who do you think you’re talking to? Watch your tone!"
Sophie sneered, "Charlie River, this is called banter, understand?"
Just as Charlie River was about to retort, he heard Thomas Shannon’s deep voice say, "Let go."
