Upon opening her eyes, she found herself back in the bedroom where she was confined.
"Young Master, you’ve been watching for half an hour," Charlie River kindly reminded him.
He had been staring at the empty bedroom through the surveillance footage for half an hour.
"Have any objections?" Thomas Shannon exhaled a cloud of smoke, his sexy, thin lips curving into a mysterious, half-smile.
This woman seemed to be terrified of getting pregnant with his child.
Charlie River shook his head. "I wouldn’t dare."
"Find a doctor and have her vocal cords healed," Thomas ordered.
He didn’t want her voice to be hoarse the next time they were together, as it would ruin the mood.
Charlie River didn’t understand why his Young Master was so invested in a woman from an asylum.
Thomas Shannon, impatient, tapped his index finger on the desk twice and narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Did you hear me?"
Charlie River stood to attention and replied sternly, "Understood, Young Master!"
In the surveillance footage, Sophie Sullivan staggered out of the bath chamber.
She stood vacantly at the entrance of the bath chamber, seemingly in a daze.
After standing there for a while, she finally lay down on the bed and didn’t move for a long time.
Thomas Shannon snorted, extinguishing the cigarette butt between his fingertips in the ashtray. "This is your honor."
He left the study room.
A black-clothed bodyguard quickly approached and quietly briefed him on something.
Thomas Shannon’s expression darkened, a ruthless glint in his eyes, as he left in a hurry with the black-clothed bodyguard.
"Stop playing dead and get up!"
Sophie Sullivan was forcefully pulled up by a maid, who then violently dragged her onto the ground.
She stumbled to her feet, glaring at the maid. The maid, her face expressionless and tinged with hostility, said, "Don’t think that just because you’ve been in the Young Master’s bed, you’re the boss now!"
"Here, unless the Young Master grants you status, you are nothing but a servant. No different from us. Understand?"
"Stop having inappropriate thoughts! Do you hear me?"
Sophie Sullivan laughed. Status? She had no interest in status conferred by a rapist! And she would never admit that she was a servant. Only those who have lost their dignity and sense of self would willingly debase themselves into servitude.
The maid reached out, pinching Sophie’s chin. "Do you understand?"
Sophie forced a smile. "I understand."
The maid released her chin, her gaze a fixed warning. "From now on, answer questions within five seconds."
Enduring this would lead to peace and calm for now.
Sophie forced herself to endure and nodded. "I understand."
The maid smiled with satisfaction. Sophie’s submission, like that of a tamed wild horse, filled her with a sense of accomplishment.
"Starting today, you will in learning all the lessons so that you can serve the Young Master better in the future."
The maid turned and walked out. "Follow me."
Were the lessons these maids usually learned this unrestrained? She thought she’d already seen some shocking things.
