"Oh, okay!" The maid struggled to help her sit up, letting her lean against the head of the bed.
She took a pillow and tucked it under Sophie’s waist.
Sophie’s face was covered in cold sweat, her damp hair sticking to her face and mask, making her look terribly disheveled.
"Can you feed me?" Sophie panted weakly. "I’m out of strength."
The maid picked up some soup and fed her a little to line her stomach before feeding her the rice.
After eating, Sophie’s stomach pain finally subsided a little.
Leaning against the headboard, her gaze was listless. "Thank you."
"You’re welcome." The maid tidied up the tableware, picked up the tray, and stood up. "I’ll leave now."
Sophie sat in silence for a while. A question crossed her mind, but she didn’t dwell on it, opting to rest instead.
「In the afternoon, at two o’clock.」
She was awakened by a hurried knock on the door. The maid from this morning entered with a blank expression.
"Maniac, time to get up. Don’t forget your work!"
Sophie slowly opened her eyes, giving the maid a cold glance before slowly getting up.
Without a word, she got off the bed and put on her shoes.
