Having teased Harry for a while, Sophie was tired and yawning from drowsiness.
Harry curled up in her embrace, lazily beginning to doze.
Thomas Shannon gripped her chin with one hand, steadying her head that was nodding like a chicken pecking at grain. "Go rest in the bedroom."
Sophie handed Harry to him and headed towards the bedroom.
Harry was startled awake by this sudden movement and let out an annoyed yowl.
Seeing his master, his round, large eyes registered, and he guiltily lowered his head.
He closed his eyes again, pretending to be a very well-behaved cat.
Amelia Shaw parked her Lamborghini in the shopping center’s underground parking lot and took the elevator up to the shopping center.
She stepped into a cafe, took out her mobile phone, and arranged to meet some old classmates.
While waiting, she lowered her head to play with her phone in boredom.
Someone bumped into her shoulder.
She frowned, lifted her head, and unexpectedly met a pair of familiar eyes.
"You... What are you doing here?"
Frank Mitchell settled down opposite her, casually undoing two shirt buttons. "Surprised to see me?"
Amelia Shaw put her phone away, her face serious. "Frank, I remember making myself clear last time. We parted on good terms. I don’t want to have any more ties with you."

Frank Mitchell laughed coldly, the laughter not reaching his eyes. "Samuel, I don’t believe you fell for Thomas Shannon that quickly."
"Frank, my business is none of your concern. I hope you stop interfering with my life."
Frank Mitchell’s gaze was heavy; he stared at her without blinking, his fair face somewhat gloomy. "Samuel, have you forgotten our vows of eternal love?"
Amelia Shaw guiltily averted her gaze, not daring to meet his eyes.
"Don’t you love me anymore?"
She bit her lip, her mind in turmoil, caught between a rock and a hard place. "Frank, I love you," she said, "but I can’t suffer with you. Do you understand? I’m still young. I don’t want to be burdened with huge debts at such a young age. Do you understand?"
"What if I said that I don’t have any huge debts?"
Frank Mitchell’s gaze was intense, his voice hoarse yet with a touch of his habitual gentleness. "Samuel, will you come back to me?"
What? No huge debts? How is that possible? His company has already gone bankrupt. Could this all be a lie?
"I’ve repaid the debts. I came back to the country to find you," Frank Mitchell said, clearing her doubts.
Amelia Shaw was confused. Had his debt really been cleared? Did he really...not hold a grudge against her for deserting him?
Frank Mitchell reached across the tabletop, gripping her hand tightly, the corners of his mouth curving into a handsome smile. "Samuel, come back to me, won’t you?"
In his eyes, Amelia Shaw saw her own small reflection.
It was as if she was all he saw. As if she was his entire world.
She couldn’t deny it; she was somewhat tempted...
Compared to Thomas Shannon’s cold words, anyone would choose Frank Mitchell and his gentleness.
"So now you..." Amelia Shaw bit her lip, finding it hard to speak.
Frank Mitchell smiled gently, his gaze full of affection. "I have started a new company. It’s currently on the right track and will only get better in the future. Don’t worry, I won’t let you suffer with me."
