Her hazy beautiful eyes stared slightly at him. "I want to take a bath."

"Say a few nice things, and perhaps I’ll consider it."
"And what if I don’t?"
Don’t? Thomas Shannon tossed aside the foot she had kicked against his chest. "Then you can forget about taking a bath today."
Sophie Sullivan: "..." Beast! This was clearly a blatant threat!
The man turned to leave. Sophie Sullivan grew anxious, but her entire body was limp and weak; her legs and waist ached terribly. It felt as if he had tormented her until her whole body was about to fall apart.
She angrily lifted her head. "Thomas Shannon, where are you going?"
Thomas Shannon lazily turned, the corner of his mouth hooking into an almost imperceptible curve. "Changed your mind? Planning to say a few nice things?"
Sophie Sullivan snorted, her eyelids lowering slightly. "If you don’t let me bathe, then don’t even think about touching me ever again. Not even a single one of my fingertips."
"Are you sure you can stop me?" Thomas Shannon’s eyebrow tips twitched slightly, the faint, intriguing smile on his lips.
There wasn’t a woman he, Thomas Shannon, wanted to touch that he couldn’t.
Sophie Sullivan’s head fell heavily back onto the soft pillow. She stared at the ceiling, absolutely furious.
"I’ll give you one more chance. Are you going to say a few nice things or not?"
"Really not going to say them?"
Sophie Sullivan desperately wanted to say with conviction, ’No, I won’t!’ ’I’d rather die than say them!’
Sophie Sullivan glared at him, a flicker of annoyance in her eyes. "Are you going to help me bathe or not?"
Thomas Shannon chuckled softly, walked back, lifted her from the bed, and carried her into the bath chamber.
Inside the bath chamber, water was gradually filling the bathtub.
Thomas Shannon went into the shower room by himself and started his shower.
This left Sophie Sullivan sitting in the bathtub, alone, clenching her teeth and glaring at him.
After a good while, the bathtub was full, the water at a pleasant temperature. Sophie Sullivan leaned lazily against the edge of the tub, enjoying this rare moment of tranquility.
Of course, it would be even better if a certain oblivious man didn’t come to disturb her.
The transparent glass door of the shower room slid open, and Thomas Shannon emerged, a bath towel loosely wrapped around his waist.
