Thomas Shannon’s face darkened. "Can’t I see that?"
The butler wisely kept quiet.
Harry, nestled in his master’s embrace, anxiously tried to catch a glimpse of Sophie Sullivan.
Thomas Shannon pressed its little head back into his embrace with one hand. "You traitor!"
"MEOW." Harry felt wronged, but it wouldn’t say a thing!
Once in the car, Sophie’s blood boiled. She could finally get away from this damned place! It felt fantastic!
Charlie River personally escorted her out of the castle, driving all the way down the mountain and into the city center.
The black Rolls-Royce pulled over to the curb. Charlie River said expressionlessly, "Get out. You’re free now."
The moment he finished speaking, Sophie immediately pushed open the car door and quickly got out.
The Rolls-Royce soon disappeared into the flow of traffic.
Charlie River took out his mobile phone and reported to Thomas Shannon, "Young Master, she has left. Should I have someone follow her?"
It was noon, and the sun blazed down, scorching the earth.
Heat haze shimmered above the road.
Sophie was still in her maid outfit: an exaggeratedly wide, puffy skirt, a U-shaped neckline, and a gorgeous masquerade mask on her face.
She had barely stepped out of the car when passersby began staring at her as if she were some kind of freak.
She wandered aimlessly, penniless, and without any document to prove her identity.
After walking for an hour, she was drenched in sweat, her fair cheeks flushed from the sun.
Reaching a park, she found a long bench and sat down to rest.
As she closed her eyes to recuperate, she sensed a shadow falling over her.
Opening her eyes, she saw a sleazy-looking middle-aged man, his hand reaching out to touch her cheek.
"Get away!" Sophie said coldly, slapping his hand away.
The sleazy man chuckled, rubbing his hands together, his greedy gaze fixed on her face. "Beauty, you must be lonely all by yourself. Why don’t I keep you company?"
Suppressing her anger, Sophie stood up to leave, but the sleazy man reached out to grab her hand.
"Get lost!" Sophie snapped, quickly pulling her hand back. She then turned and kicked him in the groin. "Pervert!"
"ARGH..." The sleazy man crumpled in pain, wailing incessantly.
Sophie left the park and walked aimlessly through the streets. This area was Thomas Shannon’s territory; she had to leave as soon as possible.
Before she could leave, she needed travel money and to get an identification document of her own.

It was the most luxurious casino in Imperial City.
William Guillen had to entertain clients tonight. His clients had suggested playing a couple of rounds, and as the host, he naturally had to oblige.
"Young Master Guillen, this way, please." The manager of the Golden Wing Palace personally came to greet them, leading the group towards the VIP hall.
President Cunningham waved his hand. "No need for the VIP hall. We just want to play a few casual rounds in the main hall."
William Guillen chuckled softly, nodding gently. "As President Cunningham wishes."
The manager of the Golden Wing Palace readily agreed and led them to the main hall.
As soon as he sat down, William Guillen, who had his head down lighting a cigarette, found his attention drawn to the croupier.
A gorgeous mask covered half of her face. The visible half was stunningly beautiful; her mesmerizing eyes, like two whirlpools, held a deadly allure that captivated the hearts and souls of onlookers.
William Guillen let out a soft laugh. Sophie, who was dealing cards, saw William Guillen and frowned slightly.
Clearly, she recognized William Guillen too.
William Guillen waved his hand. The Golden Wing Palace manager immediately bowed his head. "Young Master Guillen, what are your orders?"
"Tell me, your Boss’s woman is working here as a croupier. Are you aware of this?"
