Pampered by My Secret Husband Chapter 305

There’s still some time before the surgery, so why don’t you eat something instead of starving to go to the medical office with the maniac!

Upon arriving at the medical office, George Stanford was still in his office.

Sophie Sullivan knocked on the door and pushed it open. George Stanford looked up, saw Sophie Sullivan, and chuckled, "Fiona, wasn’t the surgery scheduled for 10 o’clock? Why are you here so early?"

The corner of Sophie Sullivan’s mouth twitched. "Didn’t I tell you not to call me Fiona?"

"But the name Fiona fits your temperament surprisingly well."

"What kind of ridiculous aesthetic is that!" Sophie Sullivan fumed. What’s wrong with my temperament? Is it really that unrefined?

Sophie Sullivan turned to Thomas Shannon, a hint of defiant stubbornness in her eyes. "Thomas Shannon, tell me, is my temperament terrible?"

With Thomas Shannon’s acknowledgment, Sophie Sullivan triumphantly raised an eyebrow and looked smugly at George Stanford. "See? Only someone with your terrible aesthetic sense would think so." Read full story at novel·fire·net

Perhaps it was because Thomas Shannon was present, but George Stanford’s usual combativeness seemed a bit subdued today.

He didn’t continue to provoke her. Instead, he began to go over some pre-surgery precautions with her.

His words were mostly reassuring, telling her not to be nervous or feel any psychological pressure, that she would just sleep and the surgery would be over, and things like that.

Gradually, the time reached 10 o’clock.

Sophie Sullivan changed into patient clothes, and she was escorted by a nurse and George Stanford into the operating room.

The moment the operating room door closed, Thomas Shannon offered her a slight, reassuring smile.

George Stanford clicked his tongue. "Fiona, you’re really something. Looking like that, yet you still managed to completely mesmerize Young Master Shannon."

"What exactly do you mean, ’looking like that’?"

Sophie Sullivan bristled instantly. They can say anything else about me, but they cannot insult my beauty!

"HAHAHA... Alright, alright! For someone disfigured, even if you were a peerless beauty before, now you’re just one word: ugly!"

Sophie Sullivan clenched her fists, telling herself not to get angry. She said quietly, "I finally understand why Mrs. Guillen didn’t choose you."

"Why?" George Stanford also wanted to know why Shawna had chosen Old Mr. Guillen instead of him.

He’d pondered this question for over twenty years and still hadn’t found an answer.

Sophie Sullivan’s lips curved into a smile. "Because you have such a nasty mouth!"

George Stanford’s eyebrows shot up in anger, his expression turning fierce. "You sharp-tongued ugly girl! How about I just quit right now, huh?"

"Go ahead, if you dare. The last thing Thomas Shannon lacks is weapons. He has enough bullets to build a mountain with. If you’re not afraid of being turned into a sieve by bullets, then by all means, walk out."

This was a naked threat!

Listening to the two trade barbs, the nurse broke out in a cold sweat. "Dr. Stanford, Maniac, please, could you both say a little less? Young Master is waiting outside, and we can’t afford any delays."

At this, George Stanford could only snort haughtily. "A temporary ceasefire, then."

"Agreed." Sophie Sullivan also snorted, equally proud.

Once anesthetized, Sophie Sullivan quickly fell into a deep sleep.

George Stanford, too, became fully engrossed in the delicate surgery.

「Outside the operating room」

Thomas Shannon lowered his head and lit a cigarette.

Charlie River advised from nearby, "Young Master, the surgery will take several hours. You should have some breakfast first."

The man exhaled a puff of smoke from his thin lips and shot Charlie River a look. "Charlie, you’re unusually talkative today."

Young Master, you’re also being particularly dismissive of me today.

Seeing that his persuasion was futile, Charlie River could only instruct a servant to prepare a simple breakfast and bring it over.

Waiting on an empty stomach just isn’t sustainable.
