Fluffy Zane had the servant prepare supplements and gifts before driving to the Jones family herself.
"Fluffy, why did you come in person?"
When Mrs. Jones saw Fluffy Zane, a smile appeared on her haggard face.
She kindly took Fluffy Zane’s hand and led her into the brightly lit living room. Fluffy Zane said with a smile, "Auntie, I came to see Jim. How is he doing?"
Hearing that she had come specifically to visit Jim, Mrs. Jones’s smile deepened. "Jim is in his bedroom upstairs. I’ll have the servant take you to see him."
"Okay, thank you, Auntie."
"Oh, you. There’s no need to be so polite with me."
Mrs. Jones called a servant over, who then led Fluffy Zane upstairs to Jim Jones’s bedroom door. "Young Master, Miss Zane is here to see you."
From inside the bedroom, Jim’s slightly excited voice came immediately, "Let her in!"
Rarely hearing such an excited voice from the Young Master, the servant chuckled softly and gestured for her to enter. "Miss Zane, please."
The servant went downstairs, and Fluffy Zane took a deep breath, grasped the door handle, and pushed open the door.
The first thing she saw was an extremely simple black, white, and gray color scheme; the room was clean and tidy.
Jim was half-reclining on the bed, his handsome face still marred with quite a few bruises.
The light spilled down, making his bruised face look like a painter’s palette, awash with different hues.
"Fluffy, you’re here?"
Jim waved and said with a smile, "Come and sit."

"I’m fine." Jim’s smile was still warm, without a trace of gloom. "Sorry, I can’t get up to pour you a glass of water myself."
"It’s okay. I’m not thirsty." After a pause, Fluffy Zane asked again, "Are you alright otherwise? Where are you hurt?"
Hearing this, Jim raised his hand, touched his face, and said with a self-deprecating laugh, "They were probably jealous of how handsome I am, so they went for my face. It’s nothing, don’t worry. Just a few scratches on my face."

He brushed it off so lightly, but was that really the truth?
Fluffy Zane didn’t believe him. He was covered by a thin quilt, so she couldn’t see any other part of his body. She especially couldn’t see where else he might be injured.
He’d said earlier that he couldn’t pour her a glass of water himself. Could it be that his leg was injured?
"Jim, can I take a look at your leg?"
Jim paused, then said, "It’s not really proper for a girl to look at a man’s leg. Fluffy, you’re a good girl; it’s better if you don’t."
"I’m not a good girl. I want to see."
Fluffy Zane insisted, her hand gripping a corner of the thin quilt, ready to lift it at any moment.
Jim looked at her calmly, his gaze deep and distant. After a moment of silence, he sighed softly. "I really don’t know what to do with you."
He leaned forward and, on his own accord, lifted the thin quilt, revealing a lower leg tightly wrapped in gauze.
The fresh blood seeping through the gauze was alarmingly crimson.
Fluffy Zane was utterly shocked. She reached out a trembling hand to touch it. Jim shrugged nonchalantly. "It doesn’t hurt. You don’t need to be nervous."
"How could it not hurt? You liar." Fluffy Zane lowered her head sadly. All of this was because of her. If it weren’t for her, he wouldn’t have suffered this completely unwarranted disaster. When it came down to it, she was the one who had dragged him into this.
