Path of Alchemy Mastery Chapter 393

The Frost Giant Bear had never felt before, being chased on its own turf by a human Cultivator who was many times smaller in size, and constantly feeling the heat on its behind deeply engraved the phrase "burning butt" in its experience.

"Roar!" The Frost Giant Bear let out an angry roar, its speed increased again as it sought to widen the gap between itself and Mu Can. No longer wanting to face Mu Can directly, the Frost Giant Bear abandoned its previous rampant demeanor and hurried away like a dog that had lost its home.

"Do you think you can escape?" The uneasy feeling in Mu Can’s heart not only didn’t disperse but grew stronger. He knew that he must end the battle quickly; otherwise, any delay could lead to complications, and the emergence of unforeseeable factors.

Mu Can’s body surged with Spiritual Power, and another array of Fire Lotus bloomed in front of him. Bunches of Fire Lotus bloomed before Mu Can, turning the few yards in front of him into a fiery red hue. Watching the fleeing back of the Frost Giant Bear and its butt that was as red as a monkey’s, which was already covered with dozens of Fire Lotus, was not enough—Mu Can intended to strike a lethal blow and directly break through this challenge of the Heavenly Pillar.

"Go!" Mu Can shouted gently, and the Fire Lotus shot forward agilely, striking the Frost Giant Bear once again with dozens correctly aimed at it.

The Frost Giant Bear didn’t even have the courage to look back, only feeling like its lower half was in lukewarm water, as heat surged out from its behind.

From Mu Can’s perspective, the entire rear of the Frost Giant Bear was engulfed by his Fire Lotus, looking bright and quite comical.

"If you keep running, I’ll blow up your chrysanthemum," Mu Can said calmly while sitting on a snow sled, with two Ice Dragons frantically pulling him forward.

Hearing Mu Can’s words, the Frost Giant Bear instantly felt a tightening in its chrysanthemum, and its tail tried desperately to tuck between its legs in an attempt to cover it, but the tail was too thick to hide.

"Damn, is this guy a pervert? Plotting against my chrysanthemum, I need to run fast," thought the Frost Giant Bear, never having imagined anyone would take an interest in its chrysanthemum.

Seeing the Frost Giant Bear disregarding his words as if hearing the wind, Mu Can’s face revealed a sly smile.

With a light snap of his fingers, Mu Can saw the scene before him change instantly; bunches of Fire Lotus exploded, enveloping the Frost Giant Bear’s butt. If the previous larger Frost Giant Bear might only have had half its butt covered, but now as it shrunk in size, all the Fire Lotus perfectly covered its entire rear, leaving only a tail and the lonely little chrysanthemum exposed.

The result of this explosion was horrific; blossoms of Fire Attribute Lotus opened up on the bear’s rear and released intense light and heat that connected directly, engulfing the bear’s entire back half in a sea of fire. Mu Can, who was hundreds of meters away from the bear, could still feel the heat wave hitting him, which indicated how terrifyingly high the flame’s temperature was.

Originally, Mu Can’s Fire Lotus would not have such a tremendous effect, but after Mu Can infused some Life Spiritual Power into it, everything changed. The power of the explosion increased by an unknown multiple, and the Frost Giant Bear was even thrown forward a considerable distance under the force.

Mu Can then heard a loud boom, and the Frost Giant Bear suddenly flew high into the air before heavily falling onto the ground, its life or death unknown. Its entire lower half was burning fiercely with flames, looking as though it had been scorched.

"At last, I can pass this challenge." Seeing the tragic state of the Frost Giant Bear, Mu Can also heaved a sigh of relief; this creature was indeed too cunning. Whenever the situation turned unfavorable, it would immediately run away, giving Mu Can no chance to fight.

The snow plow stopped next to the Frost Giant Bear, and Mu Can slowly got off and cautiously approached the Frost Giant Bear, step by step; after all, there was still no prompt of having successfully passed the challenge, so Mu Can had to be more careful.

Mu Can walked up to the bear, and gently pushed its bulky body. The once mighty bear now lay next to Mu Can like a dead dog, motionless.

"That’s not right. Why isn’t there a prompt indicating a successful challenge?" Mu Can, seeing the apparent dead Frost Giant Bear, felt puzzled. Based on previous experiences, even though the Frost Giant Bear might not be dead, it should at least have lost its ability to fight and thus be considered a successful challenge.

Mu Can looked at the Frost Giant Bear’s bloodied and mangled appearance and shook his head softly. Even for a Void Level, having its lower half completely blasted apart, it definitely couldn’t survive.

Mu Can suddenly fell backward, crashing hard onto the ground. Moments before, the Frost Giant Bear, which was previously lying motionless, had somehow stood up. Although both of its hind legs were broken, the slap it had just delivered was real. If that slap had hit Mu Can, he was certain that this trial would have failed.

Seeing its full-force attack dodged by Mu Can, the Frost Giant Bear let out an angry roar before falling down heavily again, creating a loud noise.

Only then did Mu Can feel that he had left this space. It seemed that with the death of the Frost Giant Bear, the challenge posed by the second Heavenly Pillar was thereby bypassed.

"That really was dangerous." Recalling the recent encounter, Mu Can couldn’t help breaking out into a cold sweat. This Frost Giant Bear was too enduring; Mu Can even suspected that all of this might have been designed by the Frost Giant Bear—from the feigned escape at the beginning to pretentious weakness and enduring silently until he got closer and let his guard down, waiting to deliver a fatal blow.

However, with the death of the Frost Giant Bear, there was no chance for Mu Can to get an answer to his suspicion. Regardless of the process, the final victor was still Mu Can. Perhaps the Frost Giant Bear was too complacent, but victory belonged to Mu Can.

"How’s it?" Mu Can’s consciousness returned to his body; the peculiar pattern on the second bead spread onto Mu Can’s body. On his arm, a bear head pattern formed, taking the place of the original bull head, with two circles one above the other, shimmering with a faint light.
