Chapter 13: Oh My lovely Knight?

A little while ago —
Aurelion asked Lyra.
"How is this ok, Lyra."
"By law, a noble can demand any form of punishment if a commoner commits a crime against him."
He stepped forward.
Aurelion thought DAMN, THIS PLACE SUCKS, WHAT CAN I DO TO TURN THIS SITUATION AROUND.

Aurelion activated his Mystic Heart.
He searched all his surroundings by sending mana waves. At this point, he discovers that the fat wealthy merchant who had the built of Peter Griffin, was lying through his whole existence.
He figured out the solution on how to tackle the situation. He pointed out that the merchant’s bag never had the gold coins he was accusing the girl of stealing. He cleared the situation and provided justice.
However, the situation was still not completely over. Aurelion looked at the blue haired boy who was still being protective of the little girl. He noticed that he and the girl looked so malnourished that they could die anything.
"Lyra, do you have any suggestions?" asked Aurelion with an expecting look.
"Suggestions for what, my lord?" replied Lyra.
"How should I settle this situation? "
"Giving them some gold coins should suffice, Your Highness." said Lyra while reaching her hand inside the money pouch.
Aurelion agreed partially.
But noticed, that the boy had stern eyes and unwavering pride. If he simply thought of doing charity, the boy’s pride might get hurt, also his vision had a hint of distaste towards Aristocrats.
"WAIT, Lyra." gestured Aurelion to stop her.
"Lemme cook something else. "
"You want to —cook something, my lord?"
asked Lyra with a confused look.
"Oh Nothing, forget it."
Aurelion went into deep thought.

Thought Aurelion, after contemplating for a long time.
"Hey Lyra, Choose one of my fingers."
Said Aurelion while picking out two fingers in front of Lyra.
"Not another one of nonsensical charades, your Highness."
Sighed Lyra with a look that portrayed this wasn’t the first time Aurelion did this.
"Ahhh... JUST DO IT."

Lyra picked the index finger.
"Knight, it is."
"Well, makes sense. Since the title is also Oh My Lovely Knight."
Aurelion reached out his hand towards the blue haired boy and said —
"Would you like to be Knight? "
"Your Knight?" repeated the boy.
Aurelion nodded in acknowledgement.
"Don’t make me laugh, You think I don’t know what filthy rich people like you want us from slum kids."
NGL, I THINK YOU REALLY DON’T KNOW MY INTENTIONS. Thought Aurelion with a grin look.
He restated his offer.
"There’s no need for you to waste your time on such an ungrateful brat." said Lyra angrily when the boys shuts out Aurelion hand.
"Don’t worry, Lyra. I’m sure he will accept it."
The boy makes a disgusted face.
Aurelion turns towards the boy again.
"You’re gonna die in 5 days."
"HOW DARE YOU THREA—"
"I am not threatening you. I’m just telling the facts." Aurelion shuts out the boy mid sentence.
"I sensed through Mana waves, 5 days is your limit with the way things are going with you right now.
" That little girl is in worse situation, She’ll die by tomorrow. She needs some nourishment."
"If you really want that girl to live, then you have no other choice then accepting my offer.
CHECKMATE
As Aurelion said, the boy had run out of all the ways to survive, he tried to act tough but he was near his loose ends.
The boy made many faces, showed many different expressions and murmured a lot of things but in the end he fell right into Aurelion’s hands.
"My name is Rowan and this is my little sister Mira."
The boy finally said.
