With a loud thud, emerging from a burst of black feathers, the nightbird landing on her back whilst carrying the nun like some sort of big plushie, the fact, that Cecili had not only managed to use the nightbird's unique technique over such a long distance, whilst carrying what would be defined as a foreign object, a living in particular, was rather impressive, and although Jiji could not possibly know, it marked Cecili as an exalted member of Tilmiel's caste, the likes that should definitely not just be doing the work of messenger.
"Whoa, did we just teleport?" asked the nun as she rolled off from the undead's cold chest.
"You could say that" rising up, the nightbird sat cross legged, turning her head to the living, the landing had been far from smooth, it had been her first time doing that with an additional passenger, it certainly would have looked bad if Jiji's skull had been accidentally caved in because of that.
"Any bruises anywhere?" since the nun was rather important to Alkayne's plan, Cecili felt like she should make sure that everything was alright, even if Jiji was a living.
"I am good… But are you? You landed pretty hard there, it went all thump!" it had very much sounded like someone had let go of a sack of potatoes a little bit too high.
The nightbird stared at the living in silence, her expression was the same as usual but one perceptive enough could just feel that it was meant to be a look reserved to absolute idiots.
"I am undead, even if I had broken bones from that fall, it would be fine" she explained.
"Heh… Hard to wrap my head around that…" the nun finally looked around more closely, they hadn't just teleported anywhere into the bastion, but within the private quarters of Alkayne, the four great windows were flanking them from all side, which was another thing she had had some trouble understanding, the architecture and means used in the construction of this place were simply mind-boggling, these fellows had come out of nowhere and somehow known exactly what to do to counter the snowy environment, despite not giving a damn about the cold as they could not freeze to death and even shudder a bit.
For some reason however, it was these windows that had aroused her curiosity, they had some forms of windows here as well by using specially prepared ice, but this was entirely different, and most importantly, from the inside they seemed perfectly see-through, whilst from the outside, they looked like blocks of impenetrable blackness.
"Say, hum, Miss Undead-"
"Just call me Cecili"
"Alright, Cecili… Will Sir Alkayne be alright? The Schneebiest is a legendary creature and he is all by himself…" the nun and undead looked at one another, the former having never really paid much attention to the features of the latter until now.
Cecili looked rather gloomy, her black hair fell right on top of her shoulders and tended to cover most of her face, and since she nearly always kept her arms tucked beneath that cone-shaped feather cloak, Jiji had never really gotten to see what sort of undead the nightbird was.
Fittingly enough, she clearly seemed to have been frozen to her core, unlike Alkayne who had marks of frostbites, Cecili looked like she had been flash frozen, like the intense cold had instantly and suddenly taken over her, so she actually seemed rather 'fresh', at least as fresh as a corpse could look.
Though, no matter how well-conserved an undead may be, the empty eyes were always a clear reminder and a rather chilly sight, most of the soldiers that still had eyes in some capacity had them in a rather poor state, Alkayne's seemed somewhat cracked, but Cecili's were just completely still.
"Don't you worry for Lord Alkayne, a simple beast like that, no matter its supposed status, is no match for him- He will probably offer the heissbloom when he comes back, so just focus on preparing yourself, as much as you seem eager for it, you surely need some time to get ready… I am no expert on the typical methods of living bedly matters, but I heard that it hurts" as a nightbird, Cecili was a naturally spawned undead, so she truly did not get the process as no one had filled her in either.
Perhaps she should have studied the practices of the living more extensively instead of wholly focusing on creating her own version of nightflight.
"Heheh… Don't remind me, it gets me all nervous… But like, since we're on this subject… How big is he?" asked the nun with sparkles in her eyes.
"Is it not obvious, he is this tall" rising one arm up, the nightbird demonstrated "You should have seen him plenty of times-"
"No! I am not talking about height! Huh, you know, like the fifth limb men have but women don't?" Jiji attempted to explain, feeling like she was talking to a wall as Cecili did not seem to get the message.
"You know- The… The… Huh, I am running out of words here, the thing men have right there?"
"Oh, you mean the masculine reproductive organ? Why would I know about Lord Alkayne's?"
"You mean that you two don't sort of relationship? The guy you call lord never fondles you a bit and tells you to meet him in his room later? The books at the Grand Monastery seemed to imply that it was the norm" Jiji scratched her nose, had all of those hours of reading been a sham?
"I do not know what sort of books you have been reading, but no, our relationship is strictly professional, for now"
"Mmh… For now you say? You know, Cecili…" the nun walked up to the undead and stood on her toes to grab the nightbird's shoulders.
"...There are no precisions in the process that say that the nun and man who gathered a heissbloom have to be the sole participants for it to work, you know?"
'Lord Alkayne was right about this living, she's a freak' bringing her cold hand against the nun's face, Cecili slowly pushed her away.
"That is simply improper, I may not know much about the due process but it do know that there is no need for additional participant"
"Aww, come on, he clearly doesn't like me very much, if you're here, the process will be smoother! You can trust me! I am sure he isn't insensitive to your… Undead charms, I guess"
"I don't even know how living procreation works-"
"Does Sir Alkayne know?"
"I would assume so, Lord Alkayne was once a living and should have already been a soldier by the time of his death, he should be well-informed on the subject"
"Then, we can just let him guide us"
"There is no 'us', only you is intended to take part"
"Aren't you even a little jealous that your tall and strong Lord Alkayne is going to be intimate with a living? Come on, join the fun!"
"Are you really a nun? There is not an ounce of purity within you, nothing but lust and more lust-"
"No but for real, what man wouldn't appreciate having two girls to himself?!"
Cecili just grabbed Jiji by the throat to silence her.
