A small boat set sail from Remainder Island’s harbor and slowly made its way into the Ming River.
However, one couldn’t tell that in this small and ordinary boat sat three Spirit Realms.
Remainder Island soon disappeared into the horizon, and the boat remove its canopy.
Lu Mingshu sat at the end of the boat, enjoying the breeze.
“Don’t think that this will be child’s play.” Xuan Xiu glared at her coldly. “You have a huge conflict with the Ye Family, so they will surely try to scheme against you.”
“What happens, isn’t it because of you all? Me and that Third Ye is just a small thing, nothing as important as the fight between powerful parties,” she replied calmly.
“This…” It had been three months, and no one had said anything about the matter. Being exposed by Lu Mingshu suddenly, Xuan Xiu couldn’t help but feel awkward.
Seeing this, Yu Ruohan immediately laughed, trying to make the situation less tense. “Well, you should really be on guard with every single person anyway since they are all your opponents, after all.”
Lu Mingshu kept quiet and nodded. No matter what, the fleet was still her support, and there was no point in offending Xuan Xiu. She just needed to remind Xuan Xiu that she wasn’t an idiot who didn’t know the truth.
Jasper Sun Mountain was not that close to Remainder Island. Even with this specially-made light-weight boat, it would take at least six days to reach it.
Lu Mingshu seized the moment to instill her mystic force into Lunar God and familiarize herself with it.
She also listened to Yu Ruohan’s and Sir Ning’s stories about Bei Ming at times.
Time flew by quickly, and it was soon the fifth day. They met a boat that looked similar to theirs.
The boats got closer to each other, and somebody came out from the other boat. “So, it’s the Bon Voyage Fleet. Nice to meet you here.”
Sir Ning stood up to greet the other person as well. “Ah, it’s Brother Zhang! We’re sure fated to bump into each other in such a place!”
“This is the head of the Zhang family, Zhang Zhihong, along with his pair of twins, Zhang Jingyu and Zhang Rulin.” Knowing that Lu Mingshu didn’t know them, Yu Ruohan whispered to her.
Lu Mingshu nodded.
The information booklet that Yu Ruohan gave her a while ago spoke about the twins. The Zhang Family was one of the three biggest aristocratic families in Beiming, and their best disciples were this pair of twins. Both were extremely outstanding, and they understood each other so well that they seemed to have telepathic powers.
This pair of dragon and phoenix twins reminded Lu Mingshu of something unpleasant. Thus, when they made their appearance, Lu Mingshu had a rude expression.
“So this is Miss Lu, huh?” Zhang Zhihong grinned from ear to ear upon seeing Lu Mingshu. He looked like a good-natured old man. “Indeed outstanding and living up to her name!”
Lu Mingshu stood up and bowed, but said nothing.
Seeing Lu Mingshu’s ugly expression, Zhang Jingyu felt unhappy. She nudged her brother and gave him a glance.
Zhang Rulin shook his head softly, indicating for her to not make any move and clam down.
The Bon Voyage Fleet and the Zhang family weren’t considered close, so after a few conventional greetings, both went back on their own paths. One was at the front and one was at the back, leaving a suitable gap in between them.
“Beware of the Zhang Family,” Yu Ruohan told Lu Mingshu “The Ye Family is blatantly arrogant, but you can’t tell how the Zhang Family will behave. They might backstab you at the critical moment.”
“Senior had a bad experience with them?”
“Not me, but the fleet.” Yu Ruohan sighed.
Lu Mingshu asked no more.
At noon, they met another boat. This boat belonged to a small sect, and similar to themselves, they could only send a single Harmonization Realm over. Both parties had a pleasant chat. The disciple who they had selected kept looking at Lu Mingshu, trying to start a conversation, but there was nothing to say.
Lu Mingshu didn’t not have the mood to talk to anyone else, and she didn’t care anyways. She focused fully on her meditation.
By day six, they met many people. Aristocratic families, small powers like them, and various sects.
Some were on good terms with Sir Ning and the rest while some were just acquaintances. Some even pretended they didn’t see the fleet’s boat.
However, no matter what kind of terms they were on with the fleet, Lu Mingshu didn’t care about any of them.
I’m not planning to join forces with anyone anyway.
In the distance, a peak that reached the clouds could slowly be seen. This was one of the three mountains in Beiming, Jasper Sun Mountain.
The closer they got, the less everyone talked. The trip to the mountain was silent.
Another ship came from another route.
Yu Ruohan sneered upon seeing the ship. “The Ye Family really does have grand style.”
Lu Mingshu looked up and laughed softly in reply.
Most boats that traveled to Jasper Sun Mountain were small. At most, they only brought a boat that could fit ten. It’s not that no one could afford bigger, but it was showing respect to the Grandmaster.
The Ye Family was indeed the best. Even though they didn’t bring a cruise liner – which wouldn’t be surprising if they did – their boat was ten times bigger than the rest of the boats at Jasper Sun Mountain.
A young gentleman in turquoise walked to the bow of the ship from the cabin. He spared nobody a look except Lu Mingshu.
Lu Mingshu plastered a smile on her face upon meeting the death glare before looking away.
Why bother about somebody whom I already defeated?
As the mountain got nearer, the boats queued at the weak stream to enter.
They didn’t go far. Everyone stopped outside and started finding a place to set up their tents.
Lu Mingshu looked around to see that nobody from Ancient Jade Summit could be seen. “Where is Ancient Jade Summit?”
“One of the top three sects, and the sole one in Beiming, of course they’ll show up in style. Look, here they are.”
Lu Mingshu looked over at where Yu Ruohan was pointing. A red smoke-like thing swept across the sky.
Lu Mingshu narrowed her eyes. To her surprise, it was a Scarlet Fire Four-Winged Bird pulling a small flying vehicle.
In this way, it was unique but also respectful. It was way smarter than the Ye Family.
Lu Mingshu smiled thinly, but it quickly disappeared. Ling Wuxia – how many times had she heard this name? Especially over the last half-year, this name was always ringing in her ears.
At first, everyone thought Lu Mingshu would never be as good as Ling Wuxia. She would just be famous for a short while. When she ranked first, they said that she was still incomparable to Ling Wuxia.
Of course, she also had supporters. Some felt that she was as good as Ling Wuxia, or maybe a bit lesser, and they couldn’t wait to see both of them fight to see who was better.
