Chapter 278 – Senior?
Both of them rushed to the door right before the guards started checking.
Su Ze squinted his eyes to make sure he was right. Seeing them, he eyed his servants.
Soon, on the streets near the administrative building, two men started quarrelling, making a scene. The guards were attracted over.
As soon as the guards left, Lu Mingshu and Zhou Ruying leaped up high, out of the building.
At the same time, the siren in the administrative building started ringing.
But that was no longer their problem.
Yan Fei sighed in relief when he saw that Lu Mingshu and Zhou Ruying were still in one piece. “Miss Ling, can you please return Young Master to us now?”
Ling Wuxia released her grip and threw the man who looked half dead to Yan Fei.
“They’ve probably realized that he’s gone. Let’s leave now.” Su Ze looked at all of them sternly.
They couldn’t handle the investigation, so as soon as they rescued their young master, they would leave the city immediately. Su Ze had already prepared everything; they decided to give up all their businesses, including the restaurant, and there were people waiting for them outside the city. They would go live incognito as soon as this was done.
The Lu Mingshu trio was going to leave too. But to the city, they were just people who suddenly popped up out of nowhere with no records. Nobody could find them if they suddenly disappeared.
Thus, both parties finished their deal and went their separate ways.
Lu Mingshu and Ling Wuxia went off first, while Zhou Ruying went back to the Tranquil Void Monastery to bid goodbye, and the trio decided to meet up outside the city.
Near a desolate mountain outside the city, Lu Mingshu stood up when she saw Zhou Ruying. “Here.”
Zhou Ruying ran toward them.
“All done?”
“Yeah.” Zhou Ruying laughed. “They have found a good force to take them in, and the Tranquil Void Monastery will be disbanded in a few days.”
Lu Mingshu nodded. For Xiang Zichen and his juniors, that was the best choice. How could the gang go on with just them? Xiang Zichen was too soft, while Xiang Zimei was too impulsive. Yan’er was better, but she was still too young. They simply didn’t have the ability, and they couldn’t count on a miracle happening.
“Their problems have been solved, now for ours,” Ling Wuxia said. “Now, take the mirror out.”
“What’s the hurry?” Zhou Ruying beamed. “And hey, thanks for thinking about us earlier!”
“No need.” Ling Wuxia rolled her eyes. “I just don’t want to stay here any longer.”
“Oh my god, Miss Ling, are you embarrassed?” Zhou Ruying realized that Ling Wuxia was actually hard on the outside but soft on the inside and took the chance to tease her.
“…” Ling Wuxia clenched her fist. “Zhou Ruying, don’t think I dare not smack you!”
“Why are you so damn short-tempered!? I’m praising you, bitch!”

Hearing both of them quarrelling, Lu Mingshu felt surprisingly happy. Ling Wuxia wasn’t that bad of a person.
She took out the mirror and started putting the spirit stones into it.
Zhou Ruying and Ling Wuxia stopped quarrelling and turned to stare at the mirror.
As the spirit force entered the mirror, it shone brighter.
Ling Wuxia blinked her eyes. She had a feeling that it would work this time!
Zhou Ruying interlocked her fingers and prayed.
This world wasn’t bad, but she still hoped to go back to her hometown.
Like a fountain, the light started streaming out of the mirror and dispersing around, attracting the attention of passersby.
“Look, what’s that?”
“Light, there’s light!”
“It must be a treasure!”
“Let’s go!”
Before these people could get there though, the mirror took the trio in and disappeared.
When they arrived, they could only see the fragments of spirit stones.

Tick! Tick! Drops of water landed on Lu Mingshu.
Lu Mingshu slowly opened her eyes.
“You’re awake?”
An unfamiliar voice. She jumped up, ready to fight.
She looked around and realized that she was in a cave. There was a middle-aged scholar sitting at a stone table, looking at her with a smile on his face.
The other party seemed to be kind and not hostile. Lu Mingshu slowly let down her guard.
Ling Wuxia and Zhou Ruying were still on the ground, not yet awake.
“Sir is…?”
The scholar smiled. “Haven’t you already guessed it?”
“Senior.” Lu Mingshu bowed.
A mirror that was able to bring them to another world, and then they would have to gain enough energy to send themselves back. In other words, the real test.
But who was it to gain the Grandmaster’s liking? Her, Ling Wuxia, or Zhou Ruying?
The Grandmaster looked at her and smiled. “I can see that you are from the same sect as Xiang Hongfei.”
Lu Mingshu’s eyes widened in shock. “Yes, Senior.”
“Then this is fate.” He nodded.
Lu Mingshu smiled. Seeing Ling Wuxia and Zhou Ruying, she asked. “Senior, why aren’t they awake yet?”
“Ask yourself.” He smiled. “You shouldn’t be awake either.”
A shiver ran down Lu Mingshu’s spine. Yes, she shouldn’t be awake. Travelling through worlds would have a huge impact on one’s body. She was only awake right now because of the Heavenly Wheel. Did he know about the Heavenly Wheel? She was scared at that possibility.
“No need to be afraid,” the middle-aged scholar said. “I won’t do anything to you since you’re Xiang Hongfei’s junior.”
“Senior knows Grandmaster Xiang?” Lu Mingshu looked at him in shock.
He nodded and sighed, sounding extremely lonely. “How many grandmasters are there in this world? Of course I know every one of them.”
Lu Mingshu stopped for a while before deciding to ask, “May I know how I should address Senior?”
“Qiu Yu,” he replied straightforwardly.
“Qiu…” Lu Mingshu pondered and looked at him in shock. “Nan Ze’s Sword God, Senior Qiu?”
Qiu Yu laughed. “It’s been years, yet you still remember that?”
Lu Mingshu bit her lips. She read about it once and remembered some snippets about him. “Senior, you’re… at least seven hundred years old, right? How are you still alive?”
“You’re Nine Jade Palace’s disciple… I’m from your founder – Song Yiran’s – generation.”
“…” Lu Mingshu was at a loss for words. Founder Song passed away over three hundred years ago, yet his companion from the same generation was still alive and kicking like he could live eight hundred years more.
“You have a lot to ask?” Qiu Yu asked.
Lu Mingshu took a deep breath, calming herself down before asking, “Please forgive Junior for being ignorant, Senior Qiu. I didn’t know that the Void Realm could have such a long lifespan.”
“The Void Realm can’t, but the Yuan Ying Realm can, right?”
Lu Mingshu looked at him, flabbergasted.
“You just came back from another world, so you should be very clear that even a Solid Pellet Realm can live that long. It’s normal for their cultivation.”
