Phoenix Reborn In One Piece Chapter 25

Jehalon knew he shouldn't ask too many questions, so he walked into the kitchen full of curiosity.

Soon, ten delicious dishes were brought out, and the portions were twice as much as what Ryuen and Nami had on their first day.

"Cool... it smells so good, thank you, boss!"

"Thank you, boss, we won't hold back then!"

Nami and Ryuen thanked the boss and then started eating heartily.

"Hahaha, no need to thank me, as long as you enjoy the food!" Jehalon laughed.

Seeing others enjoy the food from his restaurant and the satisfied expressions on their faces made Jehalon very happy.

He used to be a cook for a pirate crew.

Ever since Roger started the Great Pirate Era, they couldn't wait to head to the Grand Line. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs NovᴇlFirᴇ(.)nᴇt

Unfortunately, they didn't last long in the Grand Line before encountering a very strong opponent.

In that battle, their pirate crew suffered heavy losses, and only a few survived.

So he returned to Loguetown, opened a restaurant, got married, and had children. Now his daughter is nine years old.

"Dad, try this, I just made it~"

At this moment, a cute little girl in a chef's outfit came out from the kitchen, holding a steaming dish.

"Oh~ my little darling, daddy's here~" Jehalon beamed when he saw his daughter.

Ryuen and Nami couldn't help but look at the little chef.

"This is delicious, you did a great job with this dish. Anya, you'll definitely become a better chef than your dad in the future!" Jehalon tasted his daughter's dish and gave a very serious evaluation.

"Hehe, of course, a few uncles said my cooking skills have improved a lot!" Anya was very happy because she got her dad's approval.

"Hey~ Ryuen, should we get a chef too?" Nami whispered in Ryuen's ear.

"A chef?" Ryuen looked puzzled, not knowing why Nami suddenly said that.

But when he followed Nami's gaze, he understood immediately. It turned out she had taken a liking to the restaurant owner's daughter!

"Nami, I don't think we need one," Ryuen whispered back. "You see, every time we go to a new island, we can taste the local specialties. Having a chef might not be that useful."

"That makes sense... okay, never mind then." Nami agreed with Ryuen and continued eating heartily.

At this moment, the little girl named Anya glanced over at Ryuen and Nami with curiosity, but didn't think much of it and went back to the kitchen with an empty plate.

As it got late, Ryuen and Nami were full.

"Boss, the bill please!" Nami called out loudly.

"Alright, two guests, that will be 20,000 Berries~" Jehalon came over immediately.

Nami took out 20,000 Berries and handed them to Jehalon. This time, neither side said much, and Ryuen and Nami left the restaurant.

"It seems like Logute Town will be very lively in the future..." Jehalon watched Ryuen and Nami's backs, lost in thought, feeling that these two kids were not simple.

The sun had already set below the horizon, and the sky gradually darkened from light blue.

The streetlights on both sides of the road were on, but the pedestrians were in a hurry.

Although Loguetown's security was considered top-notch in East Blue, there were still occasional troublemakers.

And now, Ryuen and Nami encountered such people.

A fierce-looking Marine Lieutenant Commander, leading a team of Marines, blocked their way.

Although Nami was now a devil fruit user, she still habitually hid behind Ryuen.

In the base commander's office, Captain Hobart and the beautiful Lieutenant Commander Lamy were watching this scene from afar.

"Captain Hobart, I'll go catch Marino now," Lamy said confidently.

"No, no, that kid won't be defeated by Marino. Just watch," Hobart said, keeping his attention on Ryuen.

Marino was one of the two Lieutenant Commanders Hobart had brought from Marine headquarters.

Lamy was his trusted aide, but Marino was sent by higher-ups to gain experience in East Blue.

He didn't expect that Marino would soon get involved with the slave traders in Loguetown.

Hobart had reported this to the Marine Criminal Investigation Bureau, but over a year had passed with no response.

He couldn't believe there wasn't something fishy going on.

"Sir, is there something you need?" Ryuen asked calmly, despite his young voice.

"A day ago, there was a theft in a house on East Street in Loguetown. We received a report that you might be involved. Please come with us," Marine Lieutenant Commander Marino said, a hint of greed in his eyes.

After speaking, two marines stepped forward to forcibly take Ryuen and Nami away.

But Ryuen wouldn't let them succeed. With a sweeping kick, he knocked the two marines to the ground.

Marino was shocked by the boy's strength. He hadn't expected the boy to kick his men away before he could react!

But he was now sure that the berries and treasures Bart had hidden in the house on East Street were taken by these two kids.

After all, the boy had such strength!

"Surround them, don't let them escape!" Marino shouted excitedly.

A squad of marines immediately surrounded Ryuen and Nami, their faces showing greed.

If they found Bart's berries and treasures, they could get a nice bonus!

Little Nami hid tightly behind Ryuen, waiting for his order to open the air door and escape. Ryuen gently patted her, signaling not to be afraid.

"Do you think you can catch me?" Ryuen's eyes flashed with cunning.

Since coming to Cocoyasi Village, he had been training every day, improving his speed and strength. Dealing with a Marine Lieutenant Commander was easy for him.

Without a word, he rushed at Marino, leaping high with a whip kick aimed at Marino's neck.

Marino was just about to attack when the boy was already in front of him, his pupils shrinking to pinpoints!

"Go feed the fish in the sea!"

Ryuen's angry whip kick hit Marino's neck, sending him flying!

A scream echoed as Marino disappeared like a shooting star. From Marino's order to being kicked away, Ryuen completed the actions in an instant.

The marines surrounding them were finally filled with fear, forgetting to even fire their guns.

Ryuen didn't stop attacking and rushed towards the Marines.
