Phoenix Reborn In One Piece Chapter 401

The next moment, everyone on Onigashima saw a giant dragon soar into the sky and vanish into the clouds.

"Get back to Onigashima, now!"

The deafening roar shook all of Onigashima as if it could tear the heavens apart. It was King’s voice—filled with urgency and anger—making everyone who heard it tense up.

and Jack didn’t dare waste a second. They rushed back to Onigashima as fast as they could.

Not long ago, they had seen Kaido’s back as he left, but they hadn’t thought much of it at the time, assuming he was just drunk again and heading out to clear his head.

After all, it wasn’t the first time something had happened. Kaido often acted on a whim.

But now, hearing King’s desperate tone, a bad feeling rose in both of their hearts.

"King, what happened? Why are you so worked up?" asked the moment he stepped foot on Onigashima.

Jack stood beside him, eyes wide with worry, staring at King for an answer.

King took a deep breath and spoke quickly.

"This is bad! The Big Mom Pirates were suddenly attacked by a Marine force led by Kizaru. Every surviving member has been captured alive.

And when Kaido heard the news, already tipsy from drinking too much, he decided to rush out alone to intercept Kizaru."

Without giving or Jack a chance to respond, King vanished in a flash, turning into a black shadow as he sped off in Kaido’s direction. In the blink of an eye, he was gone beyond the horizon.

"I’m going too!" Jack growled, and before the words had even finished leaving his mouth, he turned and bolted toward the harbor.

"Get back here!" yelled at the top of his lungs. "What’s the point of you going? With your speed, the fight will be over by the time you catch up! Just stay here and keep watch. Things in Wano are already more complicated and messy than ever!"

Hearing ’s shout, Jack froze in place like he’d been hit by a binding spell.

He clenched his fists so hard the veins bulged on the backs of his hands, his knuckles cracking loudly.

But after a few moments, he slowly loosened his grip. The tension in his body drained away like air from a punctured ball.

Seeing Jack finally drop the idea of charging off, felt the weight in his chest lift. He let out a long breath of relief.

Without wasting another moment, hurried back to the quarry.

With Kaido gone, the last thing Wano Country could afford now was more trouble.

In the Kibi region of Wano Country, a strange portal appeared out of nowhere.

A moment later, two graceful figures stepped lightly out of it. It was Nami and Kuina.

The Kibi region lies behind Mount Fuji, the highest peak in Wano Country.

Here, the land is rugged and uneven, with most of it made up of mountains. Compared to other parts of Wano, this area is a little less polluted.

Even so, the air was still filled with a strong, choking stench that made people want to gag.

Even Nami and Kuina, who had seen a lot in their travels, frowned at the awful smell, their faces showing clear disgust.

"This place is such a dump. Kaido clearly never cared about making Wano his territory," Nami said with disdain as she looked around.

"If I were Kaido, I’d do the same. The samurai of Wano would never bow to him. That’s why he teamed up with that useless Orochi," Kuina replied calmly.

"True. Let’s take a look around first, then head to the Flower Capital to see if Pluton is really hidden in Wano’s underworld," Nami said with a nod.

Kuina nodded slightly in agreement.

Then Nami opened another portal, and the two quickly stepped inside, disappearing from sight in an instant.

But just moments after they left, a tall figure carrying a huge kanabo appeared quietly about thirty meters from where they had stood.

The newcomer was tall and well-built, with a serious and puzzled look on her face.

"How strange... from their looks, those two clearly aren’t from Wano. But why are they here...?"

As she pondered, a familiar voice suddenly rang out—

"Could it be... you’re Kaido’s daughter, Yamato?"

Along with the words, Nami and Kuina reappeared like ghosts.

Without thinking, Yamato swung her kanabo in a fierce arc behind her, the blow cutting through the air with deadly force.

A sharp "clang!" rang out.

Sparks flew as the Wado Ichimonji in Kuina’s hand shot from its sheath, turning into a flash of cold light that met Yamato’s club head-on.

In that moment, Yamato was amazed by Kuina’s skill, and Kuina was just as surprised by Yamato’s strength.

"Who are you really?"

"Why did you sneak into Wano Country? Are you here to defeat Kaido too?" Yamato’s sharp eyes locked onto Nami and Kuina as she asked in a deep voice.

She thought Kaido was useless if people could sneak into Wano so easily.

"Defeat Kaido? Haha, we’ve never even thought about that," Nami said with a smile as bright as spring flowers. She crossed her arms, standing with elegance and confidence.

Kuina nodded slightly beside her, agreeing with Nami.

The two of them simply stood there, quietly looking at Yamato with a hint of curiosity in their eyes.

Maybe sensing that they weren’t planning to fight, Yamato slowly lowered her massive club and rested it casually on her broad back.

"This is strange... how do you even know about me?" Yamato asked suspiciously, her big eyes fixed on the two women, trying to read their expressions. Read complete versıon only at 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚•𝕟𝕖𝕥

Nami and Kuina exchanged a glance and smiled at the same time.

It was clear they had already figured out that this Yamato girl wasn’t exactly sharp. No wonder she’d join forces with outsiders to take on the mighty Kaido.

"Isn’t it obvious? You’re the famous daughter of the great Kaido. What’s surprising is that you’d team up with outsiders to overthrow your own father. Anyone who keeps up with the news would have heard of you," Nami said lightly, with a teasing tone.

At that, Yamato frowned in irritation.

She puffed out her chest as if trying to prove something and shouted, "What’s that got to do with you?! And don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking! I’m telling you, I’m a real man!"

Then she deliberately pushed her chest forward, the two peaks shifting slightly with the motion.

Right then, the smiles on Nami and Kuina’s faces froze. Yamato’s outrageous claim left them completely dumbfounded.
