Gladion shielded his eyes as his mother's Charizard transformed right before his eys.
The Pokémon emerged as Mega Charizard X, its black scales shimmering, blue flames licking its maw, and a roar shaking the walls.
Gladion could sense the raw power radiating from the Mega Evolved Pokémon. Erza, Ben, Milo, and Lila stared in awe at the new Charizard.
'Holy Arceus, Mom did it. She managed to mega evolve with in fifteen minutes. And I have been going at it for at least a year now. This confirms that I am doing something wrong. I am pretty sure I did what Mom did and there is no question of my bond with Collosus.'
Gladion thoughts were proud of his mom but filled with envy as he looked at the mega Charizard. 'That's one hell of a dragon.'
Erza mumbled, her voice soft with wonder, "Wow, I can already feel Charizard's increased strength. His aura, that dragon aura he's always had, it's finally awakened in full force."
Her eyes shone, her bond with Charizard pulsing through her aura. Charizard turned, pointing a claw at Gladion, then at the Poké Ball on his necklace holding Colossus.
Gladion raised a brow, his smirk sharpening. "Oh, you want to battle Colossus?" Charizard nodded, its blue flames flaring.
Erza grinned, her aura blazing with competitive fire. "It's been a while since we sparred, Glady. Let's take it to the gym."
Gladion led the way to the gym's battle arena, his family trailing behind. They entered from the back entrance to make sure no one knows about Mega Charizard. Mega evolution was supposed to be a secret for now.
Milo and Lila bounced with excitement, whispering about how "cool" Charizard looked, while Ben kept a hand on Erza's shoulder, his aura a mix of pride and caution.
'This is gonna be a show,' Ben thought, his grin boyish. 'My wife and son having a show down with two beasts by their sides'
Gladion released Colossus, his Alpha Tyranitar, who materialized with a ground-shaking roar.
The beast's eyes widened, taking in Charizard's new black-scaled, blue-flamed form.
'Colossus knows this isn't a normal spar. This is a battle of pride and well show mom that I am not the kid who lost to her in 3v1 Pokemon battle when I was a kid.Let's see what Mom's got.' Gladion thought
Erza took her position, her bracelet with the Key Stone glinting. "Let's go, Charizard—Flamethrower!"
Charizard opened its maw, unleashing a torrent of blue flames, hotter and fiercer than its usual orange blaze. The attack roared across the arena, the air shimmering with heat.
Erza's eyes widened, her aura spiking with awe. 'The power's unreal—the intense heat has turned his whole body's black, and into those blue flames. This is Incredible.'
She thought, 'This Mega Evolution's something else.'
Gladion's smirk didn't waver. "Stone Edge, Colossus!" Rocks erupted from the arena floor, jagged and sharp, intercepting the Flamethrower.
The blue flames melted through some stones, but the attack weakened, fizzling out.
'Nice try, Mom. Now it's my turn,' Gladion thought,
"Now, Dark Pulse!" Gladion called. Colossus roared, unleashing a wave of dark energy that clashed with a second Flamethrower from Charizard.
The two attacks met in a deafening explosion, smoke billowing across the arena.
Erza didn't hesitate. "Charizard, to the skies!" Charizard's wings beat hard, lifting it above the smoke.
Gladion's eyes narrowed as he prdered "Sandstorm!" he shouted.
Colossus stomped, and a massive sandstorm erupted, swirling through the arena, engulfing Charizard.
The dragon roared as it struggled against the stinging sand.
'Got you trapped now,' Gladion thought, his smirk sly.
Erza's voice cut through the storm.
"Dragon Rush!" Charizard glowed with draconic energy, its body surging forward, breaking through the sandstorm in a blaze of blue light.
It dove toward Colossus, claws outstretched. Gladion pulsing with excitement ordered,"Giga Impact, Colossus!"
The Tyranitar leaped, its massive body glowing with raw power, meeting Charizard's Dragon Rush head-on.
The collision shook the arena, both Pokémon knocking each other back, skidding across the floor.
Erza wasn't done. "Dragon Tail!" Charizard's tail glowed green, whipping toward Colossus.
Gladion's grin widened, surprising Erza. "Colossus, use your own Dragon Tail!"
The Tyranitar's tail glowed, meeting Charizard's with a thunderous clash. Erza's jaw dropped, her face flickering with shock.
'Colossus knows a Dragon-type move? Did Glady buy a TM with his insane amount of money. No wonder he wants to earn even more. Those dragon type tms are crazy expensive and rare.' She thought.
Both Pokémon panted, their auras strained but fierce, neither willing to back down.
Ben stepped forward, raising a hand. "That's enough for now. We don't want either of them getting hurt." ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ N()velFire.net
. Charizard's glow faded, reverting to its normal orange form, its tail flame flickering as it caught its breath.
Colossus snorted, shaking off sand, its eyes still locked on Charizard. Erza laughed, her aura warm with exhilaration. "That was a good battle, Glady. It's been a while since I got this excited in a fight."
'My boy's grown so much,'she thought, her heart swelling.
Gladion recalled Colossus, his smirk softening. "Yeah, not bad, Mom."
'She's stronger than ever with that Mega Evolution,' he thought, his thoughts were filled with respect.
Erza crossed her arms, her eyes sharp. "So, what's stopping you from Mega Evolving? You've got the stones, the Key Stones, and a bond with Colossus as strong as mine with Charizard." Gladion sighed, his aura flickering with frustration. "I think I know what it is. The problem's with me. And I think I know how to fix it—or at least someone who can help."
